I shall be watching a bigger and better derby on tv at the same time……………Leicester v Derby
I’d have thought you would have been on your way back from Villa Park at that time.
JayT, any chance this clown can have his own bored? He’s seriously doing swedes in.Please leave him alone – he is comedy value – especially when he replies to his own posts!
Somebody somewhere has created a cracking alter-ego!!
It was 44-0 and the crowd figure was very poor, but not unexpected.
Your point is? (and of course, a point is one more than the ‘tics have managed in the whole of September).
SEPTEMBER =
I think the Egg has summed it up pretty well. You know and I know and every other fecker knows that the crowd for Wigan v Catalan will be of a similar size to the likes of Latics v Hull City in the FA Cup, with the only difference being the crowd will not be made up of 50% of visiting fans.
Now, rather than having a w@nkfest over a crowd size for a game that you hate with a passion, why dont you contemplate how September has been for your beloved Latics? After the unbeaten start against the 3 sides tipped to be in the relegation mix, I see things have returned to normal once you’ve started to play the regular premiership teams. Oh and of course lets not forget you got knocked out of the cup against lower league opposition.
Maybe Martinez & Whelan should be on BBC1 at 5.15pm on Monday to Friday hosting that game show.
Clearly by concreting themselves to that tub they have made themselves unavailable for work. I hope someone is now stopping their Jobseekers’ Allowance.
Could be a great season – Lancs win the title and the dirty tykes get relegated!…and indeed it was.
Championes, Championes, ole ole ole!
and crowds are dropping at the majority of grounds. And ours have gone up how strange
Does that stat include the 5000 freebies for the QPR game?
…as opposed to the FA Premier League where there are 20 teams, of which two of the sides can whip most of the rest with their 2nd string players, and crowds are dropping at the majority of grounds.
Somerset are currently without Trescothick and Kieswetter and have very little to play for. I fancy Lancs to win this.

We also know that wembley is too big for there major cup final, :oops:And the DW is too big for a premiership football match.
Console yourselves with the fact that no-one outside wiggin gives a Shee-ite.Apart from it being 1st sports item on the BBC news.
1. Many of the empty seats were the “Club Wembley” seats – you’ll find them empty for most events.
2. Many of the remainder were unsold by Leeds. I’m sure you noticed how full the Wigan end was.
3. The DW was filled yesterday by about 5,000 free tickets being distributed (totally free – not Corporate ones). I also suspect all ST holders were counted. You are kidding yourself if you truly believe that 3,000 more home fans paid to watch Wigan v QPR than paid to watch Wigan v Man Utd last year, where only 13500 bothered to show up. And before you bleat about the price of that particular fixture, compare it to the 10500 who showed up for the Man City & Newcastle games.
If you dispute point 3, then I wait with baited breath for 16500 home fans to show up for the next home game when the free tickets are not around in such huge numbers.
Now excuse me, but I have a Challenge Cup homecoming parade to get ready for.
Sorry – I didnt realise Latics had sold an entire stand to a Coroprate sponsor who was then free to distribute them to their employee. Wigan Warriors have successfully sold the entire North Stand to both Heinz and Worthingtons. Maybe they sold it at a fiver a ticket, maybe a quid a ticket, but rest assured it was sold to those companies.
As these Latics freebies are being distributed through the NHS, I’d be pretty amazed if the Wigan & District Health Authority had bought 5,000 tickets for the South Stand, even at a reduced price, as the Govt would have their balls on a plate for spending like that!
As for your second point – its because we can always spare a few moments to think about the other side in Wigan, particularly when they have such threads as “Good Luck Leeds” running.
Looking forward to seeing a packed DW on Saturday on MOTD – with only 2500 tickets available, it should be a 20,000+ crowd!
