Of course he isn’t good enough, we all know that. But I didn’t see us playing much better when he was replaced.
I repeat, it’s too easy for thick people to make an easy target a scapegoat.
Can i ask a genuine question griff – How does a scapegoat become a scapegoat? Or a cliche a cliche?
He might play today. Rodallega out wide with Boselli up front; stranger things have happenedShambles from Bobhead again. And my cat is better than bosselli. And he’s dead.
Sorry, missed off another 2 players who are total gash
Alcaraz – overated, overpaid and over here.
Bosselli – absolute bobbinsCome on Wigan, use the force and keep the dark side quiet a bit longer. They still haven’t come on and given anything positive yet!
Thats cos we are the “dark side” you clown, like the yin to your yang. Opposites almost in all our assessments of current things Wigan Athletic, for example we are not in love with the brown shoed one (not Griff) and would not have him round for a cosy night in.
Bobby is going cross eyed trying to see positives in this performance.
Tom’s favourite position is as an attacking, LEFT sided midfield player. As he is playing now.How do I know? Because he told me last week.
Tom met with Sir Alex Ferguson on Friday, and as it stands he is DEFINITELY here for the next 3 league games.
No final decision has been made on whether he will stay for the rest of the season or not, just yet. Tom will be meeting with Sir Alex again shortly to sort this out.Personally, I think he’s a cracking player and I hope we can keep him until May. I think this lad can be the ‘new Beckham’.
How did “Tom” tell you? Was he in your taxi??
I think Wolves are sure to go down.
For the other two places I think it will be between us West Brom, Birmingham and Fulham. I dont think West Ham will go down as the FA and referees wont allow it. Also Blackpool could struggle in the second half of the season, remember hull and Burnley?Wolves it would appear dont think they are going down. And if they keep doing what they did last night they wont.
I dont hate him at all. I just believe he is not the man for the job. Much like Kim Jong Il’s son.
He’s at Zamalek now I think. Averages a goal every 2 games.Dave from Skem would average a goal every other game in the egyptian league. Ive watched 3 games on Nilesat during my time working away and seen EIGHT own goals. Most corrupt league in the world. In fact the country as a whole scores very highly in the Corruption Index. Only Somalia and a few others are worse.
I reckon Dave would bang in 3 or 4 goals a game in the Somali leagues. If there are any. Maybe he can go on a new years fact finding tour. After all he has seen some action.
27 December 2010 at 1:03 pm in reply to: To both the Dark and Light sides, and those in the middle #54040Merry Christmas to everyone on the board.
As you say, the banter is fierce at times, but thats why we all keep coming back.
Have a great new year.
Next year will be our year and I can look back on last year in the knowledge that I supported Wigan Athletic and I don’t look like a complete dick.
Oh… Merry Christmas
Im betting you do, not due to football, just in general.
Unfortunately there are too many Clueless Clowns on this board, who would rather whine as soon as something goes wrong.I remember when Springfield Park had a bit of atmosphere as people got behind the Latics, rather than half the crowd (mainly JCLs) crying like little girls who didn’t get what they wanted for Christmas (seasonal topical reference)
Clueless Clowns? And what do you base that assessment on? Level of qualifications? Social standing, or merely that their opinion does not 100% comply with yours. It is staggeringly egotistical to assume that you and only you are right, about anything. By way of an example, in its basest form, Wonder what colour car you drive – is everyone who has a different colour one a ‘Clueless Clown’ just because they dont share your taste in colour.
What a pebble.
no hes not entirely griff –
its the bit where he says “and develop the talented squad that we have.” i find outlandish
Er, I’m sure that you and others have claimed that we do indeed have a potentially talented squad, being dragged down only by the ‘imbecile’ Martinez, is this not so?
So you’re now saying that an imbecilic manager is being asked to work with a totally talentless squad. well, in that case, I agree – he has no chance whatsoever.
Oh, and another bit you all chose to ignore from his quote:
“Then to take Wigan to the next level and try to compete for a European place.”
So, he only actually boasts that he will try to compete for a European place. Or should we be telling him not to even bother trying to do that now?*
* there are about 10 possible flippand dark-side responses to this; let’s see which gems they come up with between them.
Everyone loves a tryer. And Uncle Dave loves Bobby
No!but could be make or break for Bobby!.
The message that “Roberto Martinez is going nowhere” doesn’t seem to get through to some people does it!!!
Lee Cattermole is going nowhere.
Steve Bruce is going nowhere.
Wilson Palacios is going nowhere
Antonio Valencia is going nowhere.
add another 50 or so bobbins statements. Hopefully the BobbY Martinez one will become the 51st.
The postponing of the game merely prolonged the wait for the inevitable.
I would be willing to bet that Martinez was doing snow dances all week, hoping this, and our next two are cancelled, taking him into the new year, with uncle Dave then saying ‘well, we are into the window now, may as well persevere with the finest young manager in the game….’
Never believe professional footballers or coppers. Can’t lie straight in bed.Oh, and window cleaners ;)
Or Dave.
