There was another geographical drop-bollock when they referred to the Bolton Blackburn game as an “East Lancashire derby”.
I can think of lots of things to call Bolton natives, but hailing from East Lancs isn’t one of them. Not quite succeeding to compete with the money-bags City …………… or likely contenders to be in the bottom 4. By which yardstick are we supposed to be measuring Everton’s (sorry, Martinez’s) recent performances?
If it’s the the first, then fair enough, they might struggle throughout the course of the season. If it’s the second, then get a bloody grip.
…..
I suggest that this is a political charade being played out by Whelan and Bob, decided to deliver the training ground decision quicker than it might ordinarily have arrived. It wouldn’t be the first time. ….Bullseye.
…..In 73 I cried as a kid after losing to Scarborough on Saturday there were tears again mate …..Mard arse ;)
That’s just it though Garswood…… effing & blinding coupled with threats of violence absolutely breaks ground regulations. I’m not surprised they didn’t want to get involved, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t have.
We were in 504, but a friend (who works for Latics corporate hospitality) was in 502 eith his young lad & was massively upset both by the behaviour of the Millwall prats and the unwillingness to get involved of the stewards.
Such a shame – he reckoned it spoiled his day.
Wasn’t last year’s a tea-time kick off too?
Weekend already booked. Watch show on Friday night, celebratory (win or lose) meal on Saturday night. Bollocks really, but it may not happen again.
What tickled me was the stadium announcer imploring the fans to donate a £3 text for the Bobby Moore cancer appeal by stating that you can’t even buy a pint for £3 in Millwall & Wigan ! You can get a ruddy bag o’ crisps too for £3 if you know where to sup !
Moonay, you should get them to come to a jamming sesh in Noddy’s garage.
He’s still as skinny as a lat ! ……… not at all like us fat buggers ! ;)By the way, have you seen this?
You’ll remember Dave Pickles (married Julie Waring) ….. Lee the singer is Pete Dawson’s step-son.
‘Appen bump into you tomorrow mate ……..according to the media, there’s only a couple o’ dozen of us going ;)
………, it has a powerful zoom …….Bragging again eh Horc ? ;)
ok mate how much you have donate ?Not really relevant ………. but enough for Bernard to ping me the mp3s. Why don’t you do the same?
ahh right too late now thenAs the thread on TNS says, donate to Joseph’s Goal, e-mail Bernard, & you’ll get the mp3s sent by email.
Plenty of time to do it ……& help a very good cause in the process.
I know some mad football stuff, considering I’m only 36!ABL, I thought you reckoned Thatcher stopped your milk when you were 6. That must have been in the early 70s ……… yet you’re only 36 ?
:blink:Whilst I don’t disagree with most of the list, the Al Yamamah contract has kept quite a few local people in employment over the years. Not really sure why this is a “bad” thing.
