I think you missed the point there …………… as Cameron lost the vote, I presume he felt compelled to do the “honourable thing” & resign.

With regard to the other 2, it’s probably dawned on them just what they’ve got themselves into………… though to be be fair, BJ was given a HJ by Gove, before being dumped, right on the vinegar stroke! As for Farage, I suppose we should give him the benefit of the doubt ……… after all, what use is a UK Independence party in an independent UK ?!

Trying to reverse the decision is wrong Horc, but don’t insinuate that the only lies & scaremongering were coming from one side. Hell, even Gove had now reduced his Euro350m pw for the NHS down to only Euro100m.

        Aresholes, the lot of ’em.

I have voted out, and when it all gets worse and goes completely tits up my conscience will be clear.
We have had a chance to make Britain great again, but not had the balls to stand up to this dictatorship. Its a good job all those lads from yesteryear who fought for this once great land didn’t have the ‘better the devil you know’ piss poor attitude to hide behind, or we would have been fucked many years ago.

Brilliant HORC, I must make your acquaintance soon and buy you a beer ![/quote]

I sometimes have a drink or two on a thursday too lads. ;)

Not had the balls, my arse !

To be fair Paul, you’re right. The opposite can also apply in some instances …… which really goes to prove my initial point to the links …….. it’s just a view from one side.

Mmmmmm …….. “be a leader, not a sheep” …………. and yet there’s you baa’ing away after Boris the Mother-flocker.

Listening to the debates, the ones recommending “stay” appear to the the ones who have to put across an intelligent argument. The one’s favouring “leave” however merely need to create scare stories, which needn’t have any basis whatsoever in fact !

At least you’ll be warm in your woolly coat.

Though I understand where you’re coming from JP, I’m not so sure that it’s so easy:
for a start, half the Conservative party want us to stay in, & half want us to leave ! …….. & secondly, I’m not so sure the EU would be happy to take us back immediately if we decided to do a U-turn.

Aye, but for every article like that, there’s another that says the opposite. Same with companies. There are just as many who back the staying in campaign…. though if you like articles about the JCB boss, try this one …..

                  http://www.dailymail.co.uk/money/markets/article-3249372/JCB-reveals-paid-Tory-peer-Lord-Bamford-60m-dividend-days-announced-plans-lay-400-workers.html

Generally, both sides are as bad as each other. Each over-spins their hand, and tries to make a negative/positive on every aspect of the discussion.

I’d be more inclined to believe (either one of) them if they were to concede some ground occasionally.

I still stick with my Boris/Farridge assessment though.

That’s the issue though ………..Labour is behind staying in too. The Exiters are the other half of the Old Etonians (who want to return to the days of The Raj) together with bloody Farage (prounounced Garridge” !)

If Gove & Boris are in favour, surely the natural reaction is to take the opposite side Paul !

With yon mon backing the Brexit side, that’s more than sufficient reason to vote to stay in.

Ste, not sure if you’re aware, but Arnie Baxendale is the son of Pete, used to live up Shelley Drive. His Grandad Terry used to drink in the Cow. An Eccy mad pup playing for t’ Latics !

He played plenty of games when he first came without looking remotely like he’d bag us a handful of goals ……. and his lack of fitness was clear for all to see. Coyle had to put up with it because he bought him, but presumably Rosler wanted and expected a little more commitment to get fit.

When Mackay came, Holt had a golden chance to redeem himself (and again when Caldwell was appointed) but he still did nothing to impress.

You’re quite right with the “wasted” comment ………………. it’s just that it was Holt himself who did the wasting.

………….sorry you had the misfortune of Coyle, Rosler and McKay.

Bollocks Ste. If he couldn’t get his fat arse in gear to even slightly impress 3 separate managers, then he’s only himself to blame.

I think most of us (however doubtful) were willing him to grab us a few goals when he first came here, but then most of us also were disappointed that he was about as mobile as a fridge……… and didn’t seem willing to do anything about it.
