Three defeats against a side who just avoided relegation and two promoted sides may well hand the bear wrestler his P45. They didnt look great on Saturday and we repeatedly carved them open. Even at 2-1 up I couldnt see them holding onto their lead.

First priority for all three promoted clubs is survival.

If the kids/reserves/squad men win the League cup ties in midweek, then good on them – gives them added incentive in training and another cup game at the end of the month to look forward to, but I wouldnt want any key players featuring in any cup game until there’s an idea as to how the league campaign will pan out.

Because Greta and her Woke followers wouldnt get any publicity in China. In fact, they’d be shipped off to some gulag before their first banner had been unfolded.

Its very easy to be the face of a movement when those around you are already converts. To have credibility, she needs to convince those who actually can make a difference to make a difference.

    Or Hyde Utd.

Cant find the crowd for the Wiggin v Liverpool kiddies.

Are they not declaring a crowd to save tax so they have money for the wages?

Great score line, to those who went, was it worth the £15?

Most importantly. What were your thoughts mutty watching through your fingers? (You can reply while in church on Sunday if you want)

My thoughts on a pre-season kick-around against a bunch of Liverpool’s teenagers? Not much.

I’d prefer testing pre-season games against Glasgow Rangers & Roma, which may not end up in huge wins, but gives the squad an idea of what its like to be on the pitch with world-class internationals.

    Your user name suggests either:

    a. You are from Wigan but now live in Runcorn.
    b. You are from Runcorn and live in Wigan.
    c. You are from Runcorn and live in Runcorn and follow Wigan.

    Which is it?

The Liverpool first team squad flew out to Singapore yesterday for an Asian tour. Not sure who was left behind, but I’d suspect anyone who was will get a gig at the DW alongside the kids as long as they are not injured.

Great night my arse! Thousands of free tickets handed out to schools etc knowing they would more than likely run up a cricket score past Toulouse and con the kids and parents that don’t normally show any interest in that poxy club that they play like that every week and some may attend again.

Without the freebies there would have been less than 6k on.

At least the freebies showed up – unlike the 6000 freebie recipients that didnt show up on 26 February.

in reply to: Sunderland promotion chances #196599

Its an article showing Paddy Power odds for promotion, most of which are way to stingy to even contemplate a flutter.

7-1 for back to back promotion is ridiculous (as is 10-1). Prior to signing Patrick Roberts, I’d have taken 4th bottom. Now I’d be happy with 6th bottom, and anything else is a bonus.

It took Forest 21 years to get back to the top flight – I’d be chuffed if it were half that.

I know it doesnt suit your agenda, but instead of looking at pre-match pictures to base your agenda, have a look at this video from during the game:

    https://twitter.com/i/status/1540455387786248193

At the start of the clip, you can see the West Stand (capacity 6500) quite full (4000). You can see the Boston stand (capacity 9500)is full from ES3-ES7, with no big flags hiding the front 10 rows (so at least 4500). The official picture from WW shows the South Stand (capacity 5400) almost full (about 4,500). Thats 13,000, and they put about 1500 Armed Forces in the North Stand.

    Birmingham City at Home.

(Horc – Can I suggest that you put a closing date well before the date they are announced as these things sometimes get leaked)
