I watched the game on TV and was pretty shocked at how easy Cambridge made it look.

I’m hoping that it was a case of you making them look very good rather than them making you look very ordinary.

You’ll still go up – I doubt MK Dons will overhaul your current points total. They have Oxford & Plymouth away, both of whom are still fighting for a playoff spot.

Nice weather forecast. £10 a ticket.

    Nope.

You are worthy champions – most wins, least defeats, never-say-die attitude and the ability to turn defeats into draws and draws into wins with late goals. Led by a manager who stuck around when everyone else bailed out and saved a bloke’s life on the training ground, its no bloody wonder the squad never give up on the pitch.

Enjoy the title fellas – you have deserved it.

I can’t remember the council in Wigan lifting a finger to help our club ever.

Is that apart from not taking a penny in ground rent for the land the DW is situated on. Don’t let facts ruin your agenda eh?

Do you not have a loyalty point system within your ST Holders? One point for every away league game. One point for every cup game. 33% who have most points get phase 1 access for a couple of days or so, with 1 per ST Holder, then phase 2 for another 33%, then the rest of the ST holders, then general sale. A simple pecking order determined on how much you have supported the club over the years.

I’m sure he gets one, but for blokes like Jason Taylor to be in a ticket scrum with a spotty yoof who only started going midway through this season is ridiculous. And being able to buy multiple tickets is even more ridiculous.

    ‘Lindsey was the start’

Without sounding like an echo, no he wasn’t. I suppose it depends how old you are and how your memory is.

Most of those who were taught to hate the rugby that long ago are either dead or very close to it. Having hate in your heart for that long really is quite sad. I grew up in the 1980s and really cant remember the hatred towards a completely different sport, but thats me I guess – someone who just ignores hate for what it is – a wasted emotion.

If I were in charge they’d be playing over the Fosters fields up ince they’d be out the door.

I dare say the owners of the DW would rather not have them there too, but looking at the bigger picture, kicking the rugby out, whilst gaining immortality amongst a few hundred who still hold a hatred of the rugby from the 1980s, would alienate much of the town, including the council who own the land on which the DW is built and have waived the ground rent since it was built. I imagine the expulsion of the Warriors would suddenly change that arrangement with full ground rent being charged, and increased year on year, licences and access permissions would take longer, applications to use the DW for other events would be refused on the grounds that the owners by their eviction of the rugby didnt want other events taking place. Pretty soon, the DW would become a white elephant, only used on match days 23 times a year, and only ever half full on those 23 times. The owners would face having to continually make up the difference, and eventually, your ST price will be hiked to help cover that.

The problem with principles and grudges is there is generally a cost, be that financial or a sacrifice. If you really want a rugby-free stadium, how much are you personally prepared to pay for your ST, bearing in mind that for every extra £100 you are happy to pay, there will probably be two others who jack it in due to the increased cost.

Without a doubt it is Franchise FC. They have to play Oxford, Sheffield Wednesday and Plymouth, as well as hoping Wigan lose their three games in hand.

Cant really criticise the first team over losing to Sutton, as the vast majority didnt feature. From a looking in perspective, having all those games in Feb/Mar/Apr could have backfired if you had suffered a major injury crisis after the transfer window shut. However fair play to LR and the coaching/medical staff for resting and rotating first team players through the PJ and FA Cup and having the confidence in the kids to get to the semi finals – it will have been a very beneficial learning experience for them, and one that will give them confidence if the manager needs them over the remainder of the season.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. As far as I’m aware Abramovic hasnt actually made any money out of Chelsea, but clearly would do if someone paid him £3bn for the club. I very much doubt they will go bust, but the songs from the opposition fans will be funny to hear.

In terms of sanctions against Russia and Russians – principles and stances come at a cost. The cost to us all in the west for turning our back on Russia will be higher energy bills, higher petrol prices, and higher cost of everything that relies on gas, electric or oil, which is pretty much everything. That said, Putin needs to be brought to heel, preferably from within, as whilst me may hurrump at paying £1.50 a litre for fuel, his people will starve and die.
