I will let those that did dissect todays heavy defeat.
That statement didn’t last long. You’ve been all over this thread you started like a rash.
I miss Bullit’s daily rants. Shame he’s been banned. He still logs on 2-3 times every day though, like a kid pressing his nose up against a sweet shop window.
Over the past 20 years – around the same level as Wigan, higher than Cardiff.
Over the last century – Way higher than both Wigan & Cardiff.
Over last 6 years – around the same level as Cardiff & Wigan.
Over last 2 years – significantly lower than Cardiff, and a tad lower than Wigan.
Hope this helps!
In fact, if you were to compare every club out of the Premier League, and Football League over the last 20 years, we would probably come in the top 30 clubs, judged on successes and achievements. Why 20 years? Is that figure carefully selected to justify your claim? Why not the last century, when Cardiff’s honours board is pretty stacked with trophies and 17 seasons in the top flight. Alternately, why not over the past 6 years when they have spent 2 seasons in the top flight and never finished lower than 11th in the Championship?
IMHO, you are being disrespectful to Cardiff City, not the other way round.
PS. Do you know where I could get hold of a copy of the Sunderland v Coventry City programme from 9th August 1969.Knowing Coventry’s history for delaying things, you’ll probably be able to pick one up in about 2 weeks!
Probably once they can source 12,000 seats to fit in the arena to meet demand.
Do you know where there are 12,000 spare seats locally that don’t get used?
I’ve read the article back 5 times now and don’t see the word “fortunate”, nor do I see anything disrespectful. I do see the word “fabulous”….
The reaction of Wigan boss Paul Cook in the tunnel at full-time on Saturday summed it up best. He knew his team had pulled off a fabulous result.
I’ll have a pop this season – be embarrassing though if I won!

C,Mon who is secretly hoping old Spud Yed crashes and burns at the barcodes and they get relegated. Not the most loyal person and leaves the Owls high and dry but then again he does have history of scarpering off at critical times. From Rafa Benitez to Steve Bruce.
Even supporters of 3rd division teams find this fecking hilarious.
that bellend from Platt BridgeThat’s very disrespectful to Bellends.
So where are you going to get your commentary from now?
We don’t. The FA can divert as much of its funds as it wants towards minority football projects. I dare say they should be spending almost all of their funds on developing the game, as the professional outfits should be self-funding (and I include the professional women in that category)
However, IIRC, the FA doesn’t own the Premier League – the 20 member clubs all have an equal share, and thus the Premier League decides where the Premier League cash goes, not the FA.
Because they have a watertight lease to use the DW.
Next!
Point is that it seemed ok for the mainstream media to vilify Beckham in 98 and Rooney in 06 for their sendings off. It was ok for an advert to be created post-Euro 96 with Pearce, Waddle and Southgate – all of whom missed penalties in major semi-finals.
Is society more tolerant of failure now than in was in 1990, 1996, 1998 and 2006, or is equal treatment only applicable for positive aspects of life, and failures by women gets swept under the carpet?
In answer to DNRs question, I had no desire to boo or mock Pearce, Waddle, Southgate, Beckham and Rooney for what happened, and I have no desire to boo or mock Houghton or Bright.
I still fail to see why the Premier League should invest money derived from the men’s game in the women’s game – it should succeed or fail on its own merits. If the premier league is so awash with funds, why doesn’t it provide more money for the rest of the mens footballing pyramid – perhaps pay off Bolton’s debts?
