We beat the worst team in the leage by a lucky referee blunder…
Do not get misguided by this win, The Spaniard must go he has no clue.
pretty football? is that the same sh.t I watch passing sideways then either in to touch or Thomas giving it away? Oh well I didnt know that was pretty football I thought it was called clueless and was played by a team with no idea, oh silly me.
We got lucky today, very lucky in that Webb somehow decided to block the defender by running in front of him. We would not have scored if we had another 12 shots on target. If N Zog goes, we are going to be in a pickle as he is our obly attacking threat.

They can take Mario, Diame, Scharner, Boyce, Gomez, Koumas & Brenda “ugly face” Spencer to if they like….Now then we will have something to smile about.
Hull had a hell of a lot more than 346 fans there fatty. I was at the game and witnessed it first hand. Fulham were recorded as having 300 plus earlier in the season when they brought more like 70, Hull did bring around the 1000 mark. If you want to quote the program I can also confirm there are other mistakes in this section.
We have the worst support in the premiership for atmospher and numbers, but it sure beats a loud 2,000 in Division 4.
Just to add here that Hull brought more like 1000 than 200. Did you attend the game?
We have got poor crowds and should be written about but do we really care?
Well the phone as not stopped about Notts County (if they get through).
They were the proper days and not the 40 odd pound away days.
All the old boys will be going to this one and I would estimate that there will be 1500-2000 wigan fans. I remember not to long agon going as a 4th tier side whilst county were first division (think we lost 2-0) so how times have changed. Good away end at County that I believe is now covered and tickets likely to be 20 pounds, cant wait.
Oh then we will probably get beat I know but a good day out beats it all.
Martinez OUT!
bob on the moon – you are correct in that there was a Wigan Athletic before Whelan but would there have been a Wigan Athletic without Whelan?
He does like his own voice but a guy who runs the football club like a business and keeps us going with the big boys is ok by me.
If you would have told me in 1990 we would be a selling premier league club in 2009 I would have said whoever does that is god.I did not walk with the banner but I sure would….WHHHHHHEEEELLLLLLLAAAAAANNNNNNNNNN!
here we go rugby fan etc etc…well I presume you were one of 500 at Everton, 300 at Spurs or 400 at Pompey..Thought not haha
Please relate to my post where I have not mentioned facts…The fact is that Saturday we were poor against a poor Birmingham side. The fact is our manager is poor and cannot change his style which again I will say is poor.
I along with 15 others who were on that platform at White Hart Lane station as the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th went in and with the 8 or so who left after the 3rd at Pompey or with the hundreds that left after the third at weekend were all disgusted and its down to one man.
Please Dave get this man out and DO DONT give him any money.
So Scotland is in the same league as Heskey????? hahahahaha
Scotland is not good enough and it does not make you a super fan for supporting him. He is poor and that is the bootom line.
you must watch a different game to me pal as Scotland was pathetic in the first half and worse in the second.
Gomez is just not good enough in a battle.
Take your martinez head off and think if he was not the legend….is he good enough for us.
Good point about fighting above our weight but we have put up a good fight so far in the big league. This is the worst premier league side we have had and you must agree with that.
if atmosphere is one man banging a drum and 20 people singing it was electric. 5000 away fans singing together is more my idea of electric. The JJB was poor again today and after recent away trips to Portsmouth and Spurs (where we had little to shout about) I am begining to think we are vocally the worst supporters in the league. Everton was also no atmosphere from the 450 away supporters and the Burnley game was average. Villa was ok but we were good in every department that day. Forums may not tell the true storey
As for Hugo being a thret I must have watched a different game as he was not impressive at all unil he went upfront.
29 November 2009 at 5:28 am in reply to: Another Dave Whelan uneducated approach thread/topic! #14097I cannot believe Whelan has been blamed for us losing at Spurs. If you had gone to the game the bad decisions that went against us I missed and just saw a team hammered 9-1 that should have been 15-0.
Whelan has given Martinez cash and Gomez was the purchase and also Scotland who are as stated not good enough.
Whelan getting stick again for taking £50 million and saving it in his ISA and his shares, I forgot its free to run a football club…silly me…
If Bent is the outcome of £16 million it is a good job Whelan did not give Bruce the funds after what I seen today. The boys did themselves the world of good today and the fat head showed why we are better in this transition period than we think.
who got sold for less than they should have?
Lets bvlame DW for everything that happens, you fool.
Where were you when we were shxxt
good crowd for a game against Fulham. We get grief for our poor crowds but Fulhams 80-90 fans was very poor.
If we get the same for the Sunderland game we will have a crowd of 21,000 plus a Saturday not sunday should see 22,000.
Bramble was as good as ever today, N Zogbia and Rodellega are outstanding but are out on the wing.
N Zogbia was unhappy when moved to left back and Sinclair is not good enough. Scharner is ok but to say he was the best player is bizzare.
Scotland would be ok with someone up with him but agree he is not good enough.
We are desperate for a striker but Hugo wont be as effective upfront alone. Hang in there until January. Good performance overall but we need to be picking 3 points up when dominating like that.
good ridance to, he is a disaster. We have some young kids who could get a run and would be ahead of Marlon in the pecking order.
Why keep players in the reserves on big money when you can have a percentage paid for getting him out?
