I think Villa will go on a decent run, we don’t need to be bothered a out villa. Everything is going out way so I think us and villa will pull clear.

Sunderland are struggling and have a tough run in. They are playing with no confidence and the only way to try and steady ship is to being in a new guy with new ideas and freshen the team up. Good move but Steve Mclaren???? Will he really come in and make a difference there? Di Canio probably would but chairmen don’t like managers managing these days.
Reading I think are gone, QPR need to beat us next week adhere as I would be happy with a draw down there. If they don’t beat us, they are as good as en-route back to the championship. Then Villa, us, Sunderland, Newcastle, Norwich are fighting it out and Norwich are probably the worst team out of the 4 teams but Sunderland have the hardest run in.
My prediction –
14 – Stoke
15 – Wigan
16 – Newcastle
17 – Norwich
18 – Sunderland
19 – QPR
20 – ReadingI would think 18000 – 20000 to go to the semi final. Last years finalists got 23500 each which would not need much working out if we sold less than this figure on how to sell cup final tickets.
Season ticket holders should again be allowed more per season ticket but should be restricted to 2 each which allows them to take family to the game as they are the semi final. I for example don’t have a season ticket but I bet I have been to more away games than 90% of season ticket holders this and other seasons.
The sale should then go to those able to produce a stub from the semi final and then the remainder on general sale after that.
If we take above 23500 to wembley then I suppose thats my theory done in but I doubt very much we would take more than 18-20k to wembley.
How does Bassenjour keep getting a game, he is frightened to death of tackling, runs around in circles and is by miles the worst player we have. I was chuffed when his foul throws got pulled up as they are embarrassing. Gomez does himself no favours with his constant diving either but when he knocks a ball threw like he did yesterday he can be forgiven.
Alcaraz and Kone were both good today and the keeper looked solid when he had to come and collect which makes a refreshing change. Kone has started to look like a striker now.
We got 3 points yesterday against a team I would say is the worst we have played all season but we didn’t play well and we won…Hoe many times do we play well and get nothing!!!
McManaman I thought was ok yesterday and no worse than anyone else. If he were to get dropped and Bassenjour keep his place I would be annoyed as McManaman offers so much more.
They also do this for Liverpool games, city, Chelsea, arsenal, Real Madrid, Barcelona etc. what’s you point here??
I am making the trip over with my nephew.
It is a pain in the arse to get to and Standsted is the only option unless you go to Madrid then another flight over.
We are booking Monday so if anybody is going over, we should meet up for a beer or two.
Darksiders never questioned Martinez loyalty or his love for the club, we questioned the ability of the man who has answered his critics in true style and there cannot be one darksider that can question anything he has done now. Wigan fans were good last night, always are when travel in decent numbers.
I was confused as to why they didn’t give us the bottom half but to be honest, there would have been trouble last night if they had so they made the right decision.
Glad Blackburn have gone, a club who sniger at us and think that they are a huge club when they are in fact just as small as us but maybe now they are that little bit smaller.

Blackburn have the option to give more tickets, they needed a point against United last season and gave them 7000 so why when they need points do they not give us the top and half the bottom?
Before someone says they have season tickets in that end, Man United do in the away end they give teams for the cup games and as at United they have opt in for cup games they just move the season ticket holder to another part of the ground so this could be done at Blackburn.
They could have given us more tickets and didn’t.

Bolton to lose against Spurs on Wednesday and then they are going to the wire with QPR for the final relegation place.
I think we will draw with Blackburn on Saturday and relegate them and this will be enough for us to survive but I think Bolton will then collect 4 points from their last 2 games against West Brom and then Stoke so they will end up with 38 points with us but their goal difference will be that little worse that ours.
QPR to beat Stoke and have 37 points but have to go to City last game which they are going to get nothing from and Villa to beat Norwich to get 40 points.
So after that long winded answer, Wolves, Blackburn and QPR for the drop
Job is not done, but all I ever asked is that we fight for everything in a game as that is what we are all about, and we are doing that now.
In any other club Martinez would have been sacked as e were playing poor stuff and although we still at times look very uncomfortable with the ball, we do look so much better.
Anyway, darksiders, lightsiders which ever side I am sure we are all as happy as each other that we have turned this around.
If anybody has Blackburn tickets, I will have a pair and pay £70 commission for each if they are on offer and will pick them up in person. Paying a sales commission is a legal transaction as the inflated fee will be for the handling and collection from the ticket office.

Lucky to have him – I for one will be ok with relegation but I do not think that is lucky. I think we were unlucky he turned down other clubs and took us down.
