Fair comment Fil but to be honest we have had that all the 40 odd yrs ive been a supporter. Every club from Crewe to Rochdale have lorded over us at some stage and we have always had to put up with the drivel “rugby town, no fans were bigger than you ” rubbish. But the magical part of being a Tic is that one by one we have picked them all off and left them in our wake. We have gone from beating Chester to Chelsea, Aldershot to Arsenal and Preston. So if someone is giving me the Billy Bigboots gumf i simply ask them to match the success ive enjoyed and seen as a Wigan Athletic supporter, soon shuts them up.
Yeah lets all celebrate Prestons relegation its not like we are in any danger of going down as well is it?. While we are at it lets hope Blackpool and Blackburn join us as well that will be a real tonic for Lancashire football. Honestly the mind boggles :roll:

I live in Leyland and work in Preston and the surrounding area and I have put up with so much c r a p off Nob End fans over the years that their relegation was so sweet for me !! Its not that Fil and im back living in Shevvy, but for fook sake the last thing i wanna do is even think about relegation no matter who it is. In a couple of weeks we will probably be in mourning ourselves so dont you think its a bit previous to celebrate Prestons demise?. Dont forget you reap what you sow so be prepared to be ridiculed if we go the same way. As for rivalry i would rather go to Deepdale,Reebok etc and have the banter than go to the likes of Milwall or Cardiff. You go ahead and gloat coz they have gone down, me, ill wait to see our outcome before i worry what others have done.

Never been on Menstral Park in my life and proud of it. having put up with all the total dirge and sometimes sheer vitriol from the other lot since 1969-70 just because i happen to be a Wigan Athletic fan. I cant really say how I really feel about that mob as this site will probably move this post as it seems to be against any anti-rugby slating. Never watched them never will not even on the box.
Rugby League = a game played along the M62 corridor by wannabe footballers who are too stupid to be able to use their feet and so pick the bloody ball up and leg it. A game so ridiculous you can be caught offside in your own half and when at last a team gets a chance to shoot at the goals, some mutton headed half-wit wellies it over the crossbar. A sport so silly that fans go into orgasmic raptures when one of their brainless hero,s toe-bungs the ball into touch. A pastime that originally used a round ball until 25 stone oafs kept falling on the poor sod and made it egg shaped. An obsession of Lancashire and Yorkshire (nobody else gives a toss about the game ermmm except the Aussies which says it all ). A sport that has had to adopt stupid Americanised names i,e Warriors Rhinos etc just to keep the few who love the sport interested. Basically a game that comes somewhere between Kabaddi and fell walking in the sporting pecking order. :teasing-blah:
As Blackpool have an even worse goals conceded record than Latics & they have that clown Kingson in nets then I’d wager even Di Santo might be able to bag one against them ;)Hope your right marrer.
My fear is the same one ive had for 2 seasons “where the fook are the goals coming from”? Blackpools all out attack will mean they will probably score against us so we will have to score more and that could be our downfall.
There is no doubt that the team has vastly improved except for our achilles heel, goalscoring. With this in mind would it be an idea to take young Macca and give him a place on the bench? It will be so frustrating if we dont get all 3 points next week coz we cant score as usual. Please Bob try anything to get us a few goals.
