Team starting to gel and unbeaten at home so far!
Carson and Jean the standouts tonight and it looks like we may have found a striker in young Powell so it all seems very positive before we play Rawverrrs on Sunday. Can’t disagree too much but Powell is wasted up front. Especially on his own. Given our squad/ injury situation I do understand the selection, but would love to see him play behind 2 strikers.
I think that’s why the club are still selling tickets they don’t yet have. Probably ordering the extra they’ve already sold and a few more.
Probably best to order one sharpish if you’ve not already got one.Get to wembley, people advertising parking spaces in front gardens. Should get 1 for £10 within a mile of the ground.
Boselli not fit to lace agahowa’s boots.
Don’t remember Bruno though.Maybe it’s an unwritten tradition?
Are there clubs that haven’t won the fa cup that have triangular flags?
Be interesting to find out.
Well not that interesting.
I’m going for a brew.Had some blinding fa cup memories, 99.99% as the underdog. The dream growing up as a latics supporter was to draw a big team in the next round. The 86-7 run, Coventry away, Southampton in 85, and some cracking do’s at non league grounds, Leek Town Runcorn, Barrow to name but a few.
Sure, I’ve dreamt about it but not seriously. Still makes me chuckle when I say it out loud. We’re in the fa cup final :woohoo:Ne mind who was bad little wee man shaun was head and shoulders above anyone on the pitch. He showed passion chasing lost causes right to the end + not forgetting the 2 bits of magic to set up 2 goals. What he said goodpost
Bollocks to the F.A cup. If we play like yesterdays commitment the matches against West Brom, Swansea and Villa are in the bag. I would happily take a 5-0 hammering against City if it ensured we got 9 points from those games.I’d take a hammering against Swansea, West Brom, and Villa if it ensured I’d see us win the FA cup.
I can’t seriously believe people want Al Habsi back in after his dire season.Robles distribution is so good it’s like having an extra outfield player to create attacks. Al Habsi concedes a throwing nearly every time and can’t catch.
Robles double stop in injury time was superb. The 1st goal was Figueroa’s fault, should never have passed it back. The second as well as not being a free kick, was a very fortuitous goal, bounced off Boyce after Bale’s air kick sending Robles the wrong way and he couldn’t get across enough.
Robles was very unfortunate but has been very impressive in the games he’s played.
Robles stop in injury time was not superb. He should’ve caught the first one end of. That said I’ve really liked him up until the last couple of games. Looked very nervous today, punched when he should’ve caught more than once.
WIGAN ATHLETIC ARE IN THE FA CUP FINAL! If a hotel is out of the question, look at hostels. There must be some coach firms running day trips.Even better we could wait till about 90 minutes has gone and start punching our friends and family in the face. Then voila – free high speed taxi and a bed for the evening;)
Three points would be fantastic tomorrow.Wigan beat Aston Villa away 3-0 and then Reading away 3-0. They could make it a hat-trick at QPR.
But with the cup next weekend, even a point would help to prevent a daunting gap from opening up.
Shhhh, that sounds like the kiss of death if ever I heard it.
I think this is a bigger game than it looks, I think a defeat could hit us really hard, and upset us next week as well as in the league.Coventry away , Darren Patterson’s equaliser and the pitch invasion which followed. Good times.
The payments from the Premier League shoot up next season. So the next level will be the Premier League next season.Do you really want to dream of the Cup Final win when you’re travelling to Grimsby?
Been there, done that and quite enjoyed it too.
Like I said I’ll let the powers that be worry about our finances.
I’m a football fan.
I want to see my team win something.Let the powers that be worry about the coffers, and which division were in.
That’s not the fans job. Our job is to support the team through thick and thin and hope and pray that our wildest dreams will come through and well win something.
FA CUP all day every day for me.the best team to visit us this season.
Now THAT is absolute cack![/quote]
It’s not cack it’s my opinion. As bad as we were, Liverpool played well. Maybe Man U or Southampton should get a mention for best performance, but this one is freshest in the memory, so :P .
