To most people it wont really effect things. I might have a week on feeling a bit down, but then I would remember that just being in the Championship was an achievement for this club, and its been 8 amazing years.

And like you said, most Saturdays I’ll still be at the DW cheering on Tics. Plus, with going down I might even get to more aways than usual, finances restrict me to about 50% aways currently.

Wigan’s official site says you’ve sold out of £45 tickets but no mention of selling out any other category. It’s also odd that on the pdf plan on the Wigan web-site there’s only mention of 1 block of £115 tickets. City have 6 blocks in their 26k allocation.

What does that mean? Have Wigan’s ticket office just put a limited number of their ticket allocation online to keep everybody together, or does it mean that the 4,000 that’s been withheld is largely the £115 tickets?

Do City really have 6 blocks in the £115 section? The seating plan on City’s site is not City specific.

There are 45 quid tickets left iv picked 2 random blocks online 506 514 and got a seat in both sooo not sure what the club are doing

Only singles, you try and order two and it tells you where to go.

So they were probably a bit disingenuous saying £45 are sold out, they should have just said that there are only singles left.

At least you have found out and let everyone else know.

Alternative plans can now be put in place, but surely we would take up the option of the extra 4,000 tickets before having to limit sales to people queueing.

We have already been selling some of the additional 4,000.

We originally only sold up to 516, but if you ask for 2 x £65 tickets it puts you in block 521.

Not sure how many seats per block, but 5 blocks must be a significant number, probably 1,500-2,500.

I guess the remaining tickets that are not on sale yet will be 116-118 with 118 being the £115 tickets. There is probably a process that the club has to do to get those on sale, so if they are close to selling out the current tickets they probably want to serve everybody who queues.

Been down for a Spurs ticket for a mate this morning.

There are now only £85.00 seats left. The general sale lot are in for a big shock I’m afraid !! :(
Serves em right for not having a ST. ;)

              and what’s a JCL???

I guess we have just been given block 521 because there are now £65 tickets available there but nowhere else.

Good chance of us selling out methinks.

Only single seats left in the £115 section. Apparently we have another 1,500 in reserve of those seats which will probably start being sold soon.

It must really hurt them when people who paid £85 for a ticket don’t buy a pint.

I would agree with that as well. I think it is now too late for hoping to get as many teams in the fight as possible. It is really is just between us and Villa. I’m a Sunderland fan on Monday that’s for sure.

Does that include TV money or is that extra?

A season ticket in that massive stand behind the goal costs €140.

Almost all teams put on free trains for away fans.

Bundesliga has been the best run league in the world for years and now they are seeing the results.

Does anybody have a link to the list of how many tickets are in each category? I remember seeing it a while back but can’t find it.

If you seriously think we will pick up another 10 points then you are SERIOUSLY deluded!

Beat West Brom, Swansea, Villa and then draw against Arsenal or Tottenham.

Unlikely? Yes. Impossible? Not at all.

So what on Earth do you want from Wigan? You just want us to survive year after year? European football is the next level, it helps to keep and attract players. It brings excitement to the club apart from miserable sods like yourself.

Do us all a favour and don’t bother coming to any European matches.

I have just gone online and ‘ordered’ a £65 ticket in a number of blocks no issue.

Any indication of how many have been sold based on blocks available?[/quote]

The club were instructed for the semi to sell back to front. If that policy is still in force then the £115 tickets are nearly sold out. The top tier is selling well, with only single tickets available in the £65 range in most blocks. Which is why they are selling other blocks, because people who want two or more can’t get any.

The £45 tickets also seem to be virtually sold out in the upper tier.

The lower tier is not selling so well, understandably. So far 114 has only sold tickets on the very back row. 111 is the most sold out, having reached down to row 15 of 45.

A quick back of the envelope calculation puts sales at somewhere around 12-16k. Wildly inaccurate cause I don’t know how each block holds.

I think we will get close to selling out but it won’t look great on the tele because up top will be sold out and the lower tier will be a bit more
                                Empty.

Entry at the qualifying round could require just one game at home and one away, right at the start of the season.

Entry at the group stage would require much more – three home games and three trips abroad during the season.

You say require like its a bad thing.

There is a good possibility that next season will be Wigan Athletic’s only ever season in Europe. We should enjoy every moment of it, I personally can not wait for Europe and my aim is to go to every game we have, even if we draw FC Luch-Energyia Vladivostok I will be there.

I do not understand those who think of Europe as a burden. At least they won’t get in the way of my fun away.
