An assist and a goal! That Charlie Wyke is dynamite!!

Seems to be really finding his feet now!

I have a feeling it will be our fringe players vs their fringe players. My only concern is should it go to penalties, we won’t have Jamie Jones.

Does bring back a lot of awful memories. I feel for the fans.

Leam won’t go anywhere. Firstly, he is still a rookie manager. Secondly, our new owners have their “plan” which involves Leam as part of that plan.

I can’t even remember the last time anyone was banned on here?

It was Bullitt, who was banned for abusing Garswood Latic in a very personal way. He only got back when the site changed its platform.

Anyone seen GL recently by the way? I hope he’s ok. Had some good chats with him about all manner of things.

Think he’s more on the latics Facebook sites these days.

I’m not getting the issue with Egg being a rugby fan. Theyre not my cup of tea. The main thing however is that he supports The Tics – unlike another rugby fan who frequents this site who has footballing allegiances elsewhere in the North East.

No idea where the above has come from, but for the record I’ve been watching since 1978 – hence the 1978 in my username :good:

    I’ll start..

    Pearce to Barnsley ?

That deal is off now apparently. I heard it was both he & lang who have signed new contracts. Pearce is still lacking match fitness thats all.

I expect maybe 3 or 4 first teamers will play. But I think he’ll give some more game time to massey, Humphreys, McLean might get a start, Jones in goal, Pearce maybe at LB to get back to match fitness.

in reply to: Wycombe & Charlton, what’s our thoughts? #193374

I thought we looked a good side for most of tonight, better than I’d expected. To state the obvious but it should have been 3 or 4 nil.
Darikwa at left back? Who knew?

I would say that was the only negative about last night – the fact that we should have been at least 3 – 0 up by half time. That being said, we are still a work in progress. And as I often say, I’m just glad in having a team to support. However, I did read last night somewhere that Leam expects to bring in 5 or 6 new signings by deadline day. Mainly in defence & midfield.

I agree Jay. Let’s see who else we bring in in the next couple of weeks, & as you say, let’s see where we are come January.

Don’t worry Mr Edwards. After the emotion & euphoria of yesterday, I had plenty regulations myself.

“ number of promotions and regulations”. We will have a far better percentage rate of getting out of the division than any other club.

What regulations might they be Mr Edwards

    in reply to: Rotherham #193275

I think the introduction of Massey & Cousins made a massive difference when they both came on. Whatmough & Watts looked like ever presents. I thought Wyke had a better game. But I feel we need to use proper wingers to get the best out of Wyke.

in reply to: Season tickets #193251

I’m an out of towner supporter (since 2004) & I received mine on Tuesday no problem through the post. I know of a family from Crewe who all received theirs on Monday. It seems the majority of the out of towners got their tickets first.
