Those excellent players and a few more to boot i think you will find were down to John Benson(r.i.p), Funny how we have declined since he told Martinez that Boselli would not be good enough he for our league and promptly left.do agree with you there yosser. explains the stubborness of bobby – which i feel could be our downfall. unless he holds his hands up, admits he’s getting it wrong & tries something different. i like bobby as a player, as a manager & his love for this club, but sometimes you have to swallow your pride, hold your hands up & admit that what you are doing is not taking the club forward.

whenever we go to a 4-4-2 formation i think we play really well, so i feel bobby needs to get rid off his stubborness & try it for a few games – what more is there to lose (apart from more points). fortune allegedly favours the brave!!
some on here have said that the players we have are sh1te – personally i feel that is harsh. i feel we have a decent(ish) team & create some good attacking chances, but something is not working, whether its bobby, tactics, the dressing room being lost, all 3. i’m not really sure, apart from the obvious not putting away chances.

i wasn’t aware it started in the late 70’s jay – if it was i stand corrected on being a founder member. i always thought it started in the early 80’s.
shoite against bolton & deserved to get beat, but unlucky against newcastle – so we are not!! we should take the advice of all the junior latics members today at the halloween party – keep the faith & keep positive.
i just wish we would play like we did in the 2nd half all the time if possible, as opposed to having to get going after going 2 or 3 down before we start playing.
griff i’m not too sure how you can defend gomez TBH. yes, i agree, that you cannot blame him for the goals conceded, but yesterday highlighted to me why he SHOULD NOT be in the team* & never be in the team again. he is too slow, always caught in possession & when he gets a chance to go forward – comes sideways or backwards. he is bloody frustrating.
* neither should figueroa when we get boyce & alcarez back. give him a good kicking up the backside as he has taken his position for granted for far too long.
