Someone put on one of the WAFC Facebook sites the other day that he is currently only worth £5 million. He is only 18 (I think). Snap him up now & reap the rewards of his transfer fee in about 2 – 3 seasons.
Just to make a couple of points – firstly where do you think Latics are getting £5mill from? And secondly, Brighton had a £10mill bid for him turned down the other day according to one newspaper, with rumours that Palace are also preparing a bid.
As much as I’d like to see it, there’s not a cat in hells chance that James will be at Latics next season
I was waiting in anticipation for the first person to take my post seriously. It was merely tongue in cheek & very wishful thinking ;)

Not surprisingly this board has been pretty quiet since 4.55pm on Friday. The usual suspects missing. Now! Had we have lost on Friday………
Thats a good call, if we stay up this year it would be superb if he came back next year, would be mutually beneficial as you can see he really enjoys it here and would help develop himself even moreIn all honesty I can see him in the premier league next season for either a “lower” premier league club, or perhaps one of the 3 promoted clubs.

YESSSSSSSSSSSS
YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE MY ONLY SUNSHINE
If I live until I’m 100 this fantastic club will never cease to amaze me

Wasnt that long ago nuneaton when you said we were fooked.
When Leeds scored we were fooked and in the bottom 3 down to ten men and getting swamped.I suppose you’re going to tell me you knew we would come back to win and Rotherham would lose are you. Like I said this club has never ceased to amaze.
It’s called keeping the faith. But I will agree with you on one thing, the club has never ceased to amaze me either.

Whatever our differences of opinion one things for sure all of us are behind the lads irrespective of team selection…..derail Leed’s promotion push , get the points and put the away day blues to bed……Come on Wigan !!!
.
Rotherham winning and we are down to 10 men bottom 3 looming large today I’m afraid and Leeds have just scored, we are fooked
Er! You were saying. Keep the fookin faith
What a performance !!!!!!You feeling ok derek
I’d be surprised if anyone is 100% at this stage of the season that just stands to reason.
The one issue I would have with Cook is that he seems to follow the trend of the GPS trackers and makes his selections/substitutions based on who is tired according to a laptop and not the player themselves or the way the game is going.
Simon Haworth would have never played under Cook for example.
Your probably spot on egg imagine a player like Jimmy Greaves being around today, he admitted he shirked off training and was lazy but boy was he a class striker. I think Cookie trusts certain players too much and that affects his selections and substitutions which at times are baffling.
TBF! I think most if not all managers adopt the same thinking.
Agree Donny…some folk enjoy turd polishing. Not playing Grigg when fit and replacing him with Clarke also offloading Vaughan and Macca no game time . All reasons why we in the mire and yet all I hear is the Cookie cults “were not bottom 3” chant. Dont think I’ll see a worse away record at this club in my time yet had it been any other club he’d have been long gone.
What nobody seems to mention is the amount of points dropped from winning positions by conceding late goals. It is a good point against an excellent side and worthy champions elect yet once again we take the lead and fail to get 3 points. Its so frustrating coz we could easily be mid table had we seen out these games
Our home form is decent. I do get your point nuneaton about seeing out games. Had we have seen out at least 3 or 4 away games from winning positions, we wouldn’t be in the predicament we find ourselves in.

Cook on course (thus far) to achieve the clubs seasons main objective.
Never forget his hat trick vs Mansfield that got us promoted.
I’m not a fan of Clarke, but he gave his all today. Yes he could have scored with his 1 on 1 chance, & when he missed – you just knew it. And his goal was not offside. But they all played well today & showed a lot of fight.
Today, for the first team in an age, we looked like we realised our situation. Played as a team and should’ve won. Need to continue like this for the remaining fixtures. Still too close to call. They certainly looked up for it today & did show a lot of fight. Full credit to all. And as you say, we could have won that game.
