Agree! As much as i like roberts fir example, he is one player not up to championship standard.
Executive boxes?
We’re talking about having low crowds and you think we’re going to get companies to buy up executive boxes?
They’ll all remain empty and that’s REALLY going to enhance the atmosphere, isn’t it?
And then when we get back in the PL you’ll all be moaning that you can’t get tickets for the big games depite having been to Lancaster City in 1845.Not neccessarilly garswood. If we had say a 15000 capacity like bournemouth, if/when we get back to the premier league, it would hopefully stop the united/liverpool et al fans getting into our section of the ground – or would most definitely reduce the total of their supporters in the home end.
For arguments sake. Taking this season as an example, we have 8000 regulars, plus lets say in our new reduced stadium, the away capacity becomes 3000, that leaves 4000 seats up for grabs. 2-3000 of those seats would more than likely be picked up by wigan supporters who have dropped off the last 4-5 years, which in turn creates a much better atmosphere imo. I truly believe an extra 1000 – 2000 supporters will come back next season.
It is all ifs & buts & rough estimates of numbers i know. But a smaller capacity in a smaller, but more suitable stadium for us (including the other team) would be more beneficial.
Yes, agree! Strongest team definitely next week.
I’ve said it before & i’ll say it again, our stadium is way too big for our support. A bournemouth size stadium would have been more sufficient.
But yes. The people of wigan are shocking when it comes to supporting their town team. 30000 turned up in the town when we won the cup. As delia would say, “where are you, lets be ‘avin you.”
I’d be happy with a draw next saturday ☺
Im surprised he brought walker on instead of massey. And i agree, would have liked to have seen cole on.
Just been chatting to a blackburn mate of mine & he reckons mowbray is resting a lot of players tomorrow. We shall see.
Superb prices
I for one cannot be arsed if we win the title or not. We achieved our aim on saturday. Lets just celebrate that. Fook me! Some are never satisfied.
If he leaves and goes to Ipswich, then I will seriously consider packing in football and find another interest.Seriously!!!!!
Players & managers come & go in football all the time. Its all part & parcel of the game.
The jewell team for me also egg, for exactly the same reasons you mentioned.
However, for me, it just pipped the team that was promoted 2 seasons ago, as that was a brand new team with a rookie manager.
Have always thought blackburn were up their own ar5es after roy hodgson’s comments in the FA cup game in ’97.
Roberts is indeed a very good team player, & his work ethic has always impressed me whenever he has played. However, i do feel his game time will be even more limited next season.
Win on tuesday night & the title is as good as ours.
Agree!!
