Out of that list, i can only see powell asking for a move, or an offer being put in for him. An offer might come in for burn, but i think he’ll stay.
With a decent manager, that team should reach league 1 play-offs at least.
TBF to barrow, the football has been more exciting than under caldwell & joyce. However, i personally still do not want him as manager full time. He was afterall not considered to be a success in the 90’s & it wasnt long ago when people on here were writing that if he was appointed, season ticket sales will fall next season. Yet, all of a sudden i’m getting the impression that he is now the new saviour.
Anyway! I’ll throw another name into the hat (along with my personal choice of either alex neil or pearson), that i don’t think has been mentioned yet:
Tim Sherwood.
I cant believe how all of a sudden people now want barrow in charge. That is a backward step IMO.
Where’s this shortlist from Runc? Every other day there’s a short list with different names!Saw it on google stories via The Sun :0
Apparentely these are the 4 on our shortlist:-
Nathan jones – luton manager
Mike phelan
Uwe rosler
Gary caldwellWell that’s an inspiring list, FFS, I think we’d be better off keeping GB as manager
That’s what i thought.
Way i see it young sharpy is only a puppet and his grandad still pulls the strings but the way club is being run and way fans have been treated is well above a joke and disbeliefTotally agree. But im still believing until it is 100% confirmed.
That alleged GK is one of the worse I’ve ever seen play for us….absolutely shocking.Even worse than bogdan…..
Not sure about that, but I do remember going to Walsall years ago (Deehan days) and David Lowe, wearing Number 9 was the first attacking player on the park..think the line up that day had 4 centre halfs and 4 right backs.I was at wolverhampton uni at the time & nipped down to that game. Remember that formation well.
Why do we all want rosler back all of a sudden. He changed his teams more than i changed my socks. Its a no from me!!
Pearson or alex neil for me.
Football has always been to score one more goal than your opponents. Look at football results in days gone by. Modern football on the other hand is played simply to avoid defeat.
I was worried for a moment that Burn was going to get a red card, when he had that scuffle and their player went down like a sack of crap.
I didn’t think the Hanson tackle was so bad, but Powell looked like he was caught high.
Barnsley going all hell for leather….hope we remember that for future reference if they are ever struggling….
Out of interest & its just a polite question; did you go to the game??
Course I did.
And i’m just being polite again, i thought you weren’t going again this season. Change of heart???
In the last 2 games we’ve shipped 2 goals to an utterly shite relegated side and 2 goals to a side who were clearly thinking of their Summer holidays. I can’t help thinking that Brighton will be quite as obliging should they score a couple what with a league title being at stake and all that but ya never know I guess! Since Barrow took over we have shipped 9 goals in just 4 games, that is a worrying stat with 3 of our remaining 5 games against promotion contenders! That to me does not matter fil. At this stage of the season, as long as we score one more goal than the opposition, that will do for me.
Cometh the hour cometh the man.
Take a bow Nick Powell.
Charlie Insomnia kept us up virtually single handed in 2010-11, could history repeat itself?
will be brilliant if we could take it to the last game of the season.
If results go our way today, i believe we can.
I wasnt at the game last night due to work. However i will very shamefully admit & hold my hands up to turning off the radio after they scored the 2nd. It was only when i received a text (even though i had missed my previous 2 texts) saying powell pen
3 – 2. I didnt even know we had pulled one back or even equalised until i received my last text. I put the radio back on to listen to the last few minutes.Given we are still four behind with a game more we need to go for it. Looking at fixtures of teams above I’m not convinced anything less than 10/12 will do in final games. What a balls up keeping Joyce for Blackburn and Bristol games.
Agree, those two games hurt us badly.
I think Joyce is our worst Manager in nearly 50 years.
Even worse than kenny swain.
