Another sterling footballing contribution from Cockneylatic’s wannabe funny man JohnDoe…

No he didn’t do everything perfect but he made some game saving tackles.

No way back for Caldwell I am afraid.

There was no intended humour in my post Salford, I don’t think it’s funny, in my opinion he’s rubbish and cost us a point, you think he’s great and made game saving tackles (even though we lost?) all opinions my friend.
If we concentrated on results and not performance Martinez would of been sacked in his first season.

Thank god the officials running the club have the perspective to see beyond a result.

    Europe here we come!!!!

Didn’t the police question why there was a coach load of kids without responsible adult presence? Anyone know the answer to that?

Amazing to think you are considered to be a fully fledged adult at the age of 18.

I thought I knew everything at 18 the older I get the more I realise I have to left to learn.

I have stuck £10 on William Hill as follows.

Kone to score wigan to win 1-0 £1 @ 130/1
Maloney to score wigan to win 1-0 £1 @ 160/1
Mcmanaman to score wigan to win 1-0 £1 @ 130/1
    Wigan to win £5 @ 11/1
    A draw £2 @ 5/1

As long as we dont get beat im in for money.

If you pick a result/score and a scorer and that player doesnt play you still get the win for the result/score.

As has been mentioned on here previously if the semi was at Old Trafford we would be the ones close to capacity while their 20000 day trippers would stay at home.

And while im off on one Thatcher in my opinion bred greed into the country.

Nobody is happy anymore to earn a decent living they all want more!

people used to give a shit about their fellow man now you will get thrown to the dogs if you claim jsa longer than 6 months.

In fear of starting a ‘debate’, do people genuinely believe that this country could have kept a mining industry, paid the miners what the unions were demanding, keep prices competitive with China and other emerging nations AND turned a profit from it?

Just asking because a lot of people seem to be blaming her for the demise of the industry.

    1. Was it not a deteriorating sector that had it’s end coming long before Thatcher got to power?

    2. Is it not a good thing that we don’t send our kids down the mines anymore?

I’m far from a Thatcherite, I disagree with the way in which she went about getting quite a lot of things, not to mention the poll tax. I just refuse to buy into this hate campaign created by the extreme left wing.

Take a look at your life and your house at this moment in time. Would you be able to afford your current lifestyle if things hadn’t have changed?

    Bring on the controversy! :P

That’s all good and well but at what price?

She gambled the lives of families all over the country for the sake of the economy.

The economy didn’t pay for my overpriced house or the ridiculous amount of deposit I needed to buy a 2 bedroom terraced house that was built 100 years ago originally for *drum roll please* THE MINERS!!!!!

What built my house 100 years ago was the working class and what pays for it now is my working class upbringing not a massive upturn in the economy sending my rich daddies savings through the roof!

Best comments of the day I have seen are ” you wouldn’t have these lazy people milking benefits if thatcher wad around today ”

Bollox she sent families all over the country into generations of unemployment but it wasn’t an upturn in the economy that put food on the tables was it.

People need to take the daily mail out of their arse and realise the benefit system is there to protect you through the rough times and by the time Cameron has done the people throwing their toys out the pram today coz they work full time will be the people with no state pension, no NHS and no sick pay when they are 60 riddled with cancer and arthritis because they have been working all there life to sustain the riches lifestyle of massive private pension funds , perfect private healthcare and a life of luxury doing fuck all 5 days a week while the minions pick up the shit.
In all fairness Salford, that’s not really answered anything that I asked. [edit – just seen your post about the rant now, haha. What can I say? It’s a decisive topic] I do agree about the benefit lifestyle being started under Thatcher’s policies. Let’s not let Blair/Brown off the hook entirely on that one though. I appreciate you being the first of the staunch anti-Thatcher brigade to get involved, but a lot of what you have put is the typical Labour predictive scare-mongering we hear rolled out every week since they lost power.
Its not scare mongering mate my mum and dad are living it. They both turn 60 this year my dad can’t get any work after working his whole life. He has now been signed off sick by the doctor due to severe breathing problems. Yet he has been turned down for sick benefits but can’t get job seekers as he has been signed off sick.

My mother who has broke her back for 40 years looking after the elderly in the care homes that have been gradually privatised all over the country wiping war heroes arses who haven’t got a pit to piss in is now heading for surgery this month that is suspected cancer.

She will get 6 months pay and a pat on the back once she is too ill from treatment to work any more.

Her private pension through work is a fucking disgrace and won’t break even on what she paid.

David Cameron would probably ask why my dad never paid into a private pension and his reply would be because he has been too busy paying for the politicians pensions all his life.

not playing a sympathy card but think how many people will find themselves in my mum and dads position in the future.

politics has had a fucking stroke since the boom of social media.

Truth is it doesn’t matter what party you choose they are all fucking Tories.

nobody forms their own opinion on things anymore they just reiterate points they read via the media.

Lambs for the slaughter the lot of us.

40 minutes and still no responses coming your way. Either, the responses are so long and hate filled that they’re taking a long time to write, or … they’re all just gathering down the end of your road.
It would of been faster if not on my phone :)

Sorry to brush over your points lemur, as most know on here the ranter gets the best of me.

Just seen the plans for Thatchers grave and I must admit it looks lovely.

Personally though I would have made the dance floor a bit bigger.

I was also a keeper throughout my teenage years and if you are telling me you would of stood on your line when someone is charging towards your box then I think you need to go back to GK school Phil…

On his line, off his line or dangling from the cross bar like a monkey when a shot hits your side net with that sort of pace on it there is nothing you can do.
