Text messaging is firmly to blame.

Yippee. I’m the teacher’s pet, a squirrel.
(Edit – just thought I’d better put that apostrophe in….!)

Does it involve squirrels?
Aww Miss……….8 June 2010 at 3:46 pm in reply to: Wigan manager Roberto Martinez says he has received no bids #36275Back on Topic please!
What’s got a hazelnut in every bite……..?
…………………or should this be a seperate teaser thread question?
I know, I know, I know……….. (holds hand up in an 8 year old schoolboy trying to attract the teacher kind of way)Horses for courses I think.
The footballing aspirations of Wigan Athletic have changed dramatically since the Springfield Park days so it’s inconceivable to think we could ever have watched Premiership football there. It served its purpose and retains fond memories for me.
The problems is, if and when we return to the lower divisions with the obvious drop in attendances the DW would become a very sterile place and a revamped SP would be much more welcoming. We’re back to the ‘some fell on stoney ground’ thread again….
Holy Moses!!
Who came down from the mountain in his triumph.
Which goes to show that motors cars were invented long before most people think.8 June 2010 at 12:20 pm in reply to: Wigan manager Roberto Martinez says he has received no bids #36226Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused to JamesC, griff (legend), Latics., loudmouthblue, Sephton01, ScholesControl, SNIPER, StandishWalkersCrisps, tickmon82, MickyC & LaticsAwayKid.
It was no inconvenience to me. Standish Walkers Crisps was slightly ticked off though :)
Standish Walkers Crisps? Very clever play on words.
Now, I’ll be very impressed if you can tell me what/who my username refers to.
I know, I know, I know……….. (holds hand up in an 8 year old schoolboy trying to attract the teacher kind of way)Oh and lets leave Scooby Doo out of things eh…..
God, that makes me yearn for the old days.
We might be in the PL now, but the memories of Springfield Park, and the times we had there, good and bad will live with me forever.
Football was real in those days, and in my opinion far far more enjoyable than today.
Yes, we have to be thankful to DW, but I for one would be more thankful if he had developed Springfield Park.
Springfield Park will always be home to me.It was a dump, but it was our dump, wildebeests an’ all.
I think that takeover was confirmed late last week hence why they now seem to be offering big money deals to the likes of Joe Ledley & Craig Bellamy
and Jason Koumas if the rumours are to be beleived, though Koumas reckons he wants to fight for a place here. I am guessing a lure of good dosh will change that though/
Don’t think you can use the words “Koumas” and “fight” in the same sentence; not in football context anyway.I seem to recall that Benson wasn’t all that impressed with Martinez as a player either.
And here’s me thinking you were one of the elite on this board too Micky.
Nowt to do with dyslexia Landgate. Just a case of taking a few smartarses down a peg or two.
I was hoping that the identity of these players might have been revealed and praying that they aren’t Swansea players….but let’s be honest one of them is bound to be Leon BrittonNobby Stiles and George Cohen.
Just noticed some of the groups them lot have set up on facebook aswell.
“Wigan is a rugby town.not a football town”.
“The JJB belongs to Wigan Warriors”
Do they honestly believe this or just massively deluded?
I think they honestly believe it.
The guy didn’t like me standing up to him and refusing to back down, so he severed our link. In other words, he didn’t get his own way……
so he took his (odd shaped) ball home.
But not before accusing me of being racist. The cheek of it! After how he started the thread, posting about how many “white” players Latics have.
If Mr Whelan wants one big reason as to why people will not accept his theory of ‘2 clubs, one town’, then it is down to people like this. There is definitely more of a problem from them, than us. Make no mistake about it, this guy would LOVE us to fail at everything we do…….and he is a friend of Maurice Lindsay.
Dave,
I don’t know you other than through the messages you post on here, but some observations.1. If he’s a wind up merchant then he’s definately reeled you in.
2. If he’s not, and he’s so wound up about Latics, then why argue with him. You just fuelling his hatred of all things Wigan Athletic and football in general.
3. What you said on facebook could very well be considered racist and that gave him another excuse to have a go at you.Don’t want to come over all grandad and how to suck eggs, but why don’t you just leave it.
