the hair o the dog.
dosent cure your hangover, just gets you pissed again, thus creating the illusion that you feel better…you dont..you’re just leathered again!
bang on with the pot noodle one yosser ;)
when i think of a legend, i think of someone who gave their all for wigan athletic, there have been a few down the years, but very few during our premier league stint…thats because of the greed and money that the premier league generates…mercenaries after an easy pay day.
so im gonna say lee mculloch for starters, not the best player weve ever had, but he made the best of he ability that he did have. a guy that gave 100% and thats good enough for me.
a bit of a controversial one, but im gonna say emile heskey…ridiculed by many, but i think a perfect fit for us. good leader of the line, and THAT performance at sheff utd should get him in on its own….and lets not forget, as a wigan athletic player, got picked for ENGLAND as number 9.
and thirdly, im gonna say emerson boyce..stayed with us when others have left, and still lookin fairly solid enough for a couple more years, does he hold our most appearance record in the premier league?
thats my opinion anyroad.
he’s probably already here….under a new identity
it pissed me off abit too, but im over it now. its just a game of football mate at he end of he day, nobody died. we move on.
..and why the big announcement?…just go if u wanna go.
andy reid.
when i used to play sunday league, i was also a short, fat, left winger, just like him.
seperated at birth.
i always liked barry davies…couldnt stand motson.
dont mind clive tyldsley, but hate jim beglin.
our very own roberto is one of the worst for “taking the positives” out of a heavy defeat.
and when we were in the lower divisions we always signed players for a ‘nominal’ fee.
good read that.
my feeling is that both clubs, most likely the players i think will do something..probably come out onto the pitch carrying something.a banner? maybe flowers or a wreath?
they may put the cards on seats to spell something out?…i think if the kop had a message spelled out, thus the message facing the man utd fans, spelling out something with hillsborough AND munich on and something about no more sick chanting, it may diffuse any situation that could arise.
the VERY WORST thing to do would be a minute’s silence, that would be suicidal, and if it went wrong could cause a riot.
this cover up goes much higher than your average copper…alot of the police were as helpless as the fans that day, and made statements saying just that. some of them didnt even have a radio!….only any statement made that criticised the police handling of the situation was ALTERED.
ambulancemen’s statements were changed, people that were still ALIVE were put together in a gymnasium with people that were DEAD!…thus not getting potential live-saving treatment.
no..this cover up goes up much much higher than the police, this goes up to government level..and if justice is to be served to the families, then only custodial sentences given to those that are found to be at fault, will suffice.
i’d already narrowed it down to stuart, griff.
when i noticed you on his friends list on facebook…he dosent tell me frigg all though.
really impressed with what i saw tonight.
it filled me with a bit more confidence if we get any injuries. granted forest are not a premier league team, but i saw hungry players who want to play football for latics, and with mcmanaman and boselli and gomez scoring, it means just 2 and a half weeks into the season and all our forwards are already on the scoresheet. that must be a good thing.
agree with fatfan a little bit on gomez, he’s too good for the championship, but not quite good enough for the prem, a shame really coz he’s got the brain and the skills, just lacks the pace.
looking forward to beating stoke now B)
LOVE….andy liddell..true club legend, gave everything for wigan athletic.
…lee mcculloch..not our best player, but played everygame 100%, and that bolton goal will always stick with me.
…graeme jones..a bit controversial coz he was only here for a couple of years, but that season when he scored 30 odd goals, he was a proper goal machine and we havent really had one since.
roberto martinez…the 3 amigos kickstarted our rise from bottom division, to beating manchester united in a league match, and he was the my favourite player whilst he was with us.
HATE…pascal chimbonda…a piece of sh#t
well said manny.
ramis had 84 decent minutes against the european champions. instead of focusing on ramis not being tight enough on hazard, i prefer to reflect on a brilliant piece of play by hazard, and an inch perfect pass which ivanovic scored from.
that just leaves the penalty..no excuses, clumsy challenge that he got punished for.
1 mistake in 90 mins?….
PLAY HIM!
