Damned if we do, and damned if we don’t.
As usual. You guys crease me up with negativity.
Players get injured. Players have a run of bad luck. Sometimes it’s due to the training regimes at the club.A year or so back I went to Barcelona to watch a game. Messi had been out for months because of an injury and this was his come-back game. According to some of you we wouldn’t have considered him had he been available at a price we could afford because he was “injury prone”. :)
He scored that game and hasn’t really looked back. I know all about Argentina and Barca at Anfield, but he is still a great player.
Indeed, a good signing.
A very quick youngster, who certainly has things to learn, but has oodles of talent and will now be in his second season with the team and the manager and coaching staff, and will progress well.
Good business by those in charge of such things.Or even further back we had this design for many years
In fairness I only began supporting us from 1978. I have seen old photos of our “everton” kit, but blue & white stripes was what I grew up with.
“I still fail to see why the Premier League should invest money derived from the men’s game in the women’s game…”
Or we could consider football to be football whoever plays it – men, women, boys, girls, disabled, walking footballers etc etc.
Why do we have to label and compartmentalise?
Which bit of “we had green in our kit last season” are you all struggling with?
See my avatar.
Well if they’re a group that are much more financially capable of taking Latics further forward than Dave they must be or can’t be far off being billionaires collectively.
When you look at IEC and see the individuals connected to it quite a few billionairs including members of the cheng family (allthough no longer in control of IEC )
Plenty of big money men but the thing is are any of them willing to part with some cash[/quote]The point is that IEC is a HK stock-market listed company.
WAFC are part of the assets of that organisation.
The directors of that company (as it is publicly listed they cannot be called owners – the shareholders are the owners albeit that the directors are major holders) cannot invest individual money into the company without it being part of a share offer that would need to be approved by an EGM or AGM.
The company itself can pump resources in if the directors believe it will improve the net worth of the operation, but individuals, billionaires or not, cannot do that.Buy the offer and share the cost with someone who can only go to the other game.
Simple.Triple

I’ve never seen such poor behaviour on a football field. When you’re as old as me ……

Before my memory that and have no recollection of the kit. Great picture.i have a great old picture from springy on my phone, how do I post it?Go to the comment/reply box and underneath the text box it shows “Attachments”.
Click “add file” and select what you want to put in.
Move your cursor back to where you want the picture putting, click there, and then click “insert”
Then submit. How was a photographer allowed so close to the pitch? His flares are nearly in the six yard box!Quite normal in those days – it wasn’t unknown for photographers to run onto the pitch for a shot
