How Cockney Latics’ readers react to every bit of news
Is he a left back?
Dad’s Army FC!Experienced ex-international.
Probably exactly what we need to teach the younger ones the ropes of defending.Stats ?…How many starts has he had ? Won’t net bench warming. Love it when posters trawl out “he wasn’t good enough fo the championship “tripe.

I hope he can replicate the form he’s been in at Sheffield Utd.The last time he was here Feb 2015 on loan (Stu will correct me if I’m wrong :) ) we went down to League One

Welcome back Leon and good luck44 in 118 since isn’t bad
I would have thought that there would have been some sort of pre match, on the pitch introduction when the takeover was eventually finalised? Or did I miss it? If i didn’t miss it then it’s all a bit strange if you ask me!The take over is a bit unusual, but not for any bad reason.
IEC are a corporate body, not individuals. We are owned by a company, whereas most takeovers are by individuals. Maybe we could have had a representative “on the pitch” but that would focus everything on that individual who may not be with the company next week, rather than the company as an entity.
Doesn’t bother me at all.Similarly they have never promised huge investment, but they have promised careful financial management.
I think a lot of our fans have got above themselves. IEC are doing absolutely everything to avoid us going down Bolton’s path. Some of you seem to be going off on one as though they’re going to be compulsory.
There will be Latics season tickets.
There will be Warriors season tickets.
As now.
However – if you want both, as quite a few people do (I’m sorry to tell you), then there could be a discount.
What on Earth is the problem?
Whether it ends up viable for either club is not our problem.
Calm down, people. We’ll probably be in blue and white if that helps

Strangely enough I do know that Spurs are a step up, so please don’t patronise me.
My point though (as though I should have to explain it), is that for all that he has ended up at Ashton Town. If he was so good he would be able to retire gracefully and with plenty in the bank, not trawl around the lower reaches for a game (with all due respect to Ashton).
He was arrogant in the way he left, totally unprofessional, and I rejoice that he is now scrabbling round for scraps.
With a better attitude he could have left with everyone’s blessings, as Baines and Valencia and others did.… and what do we mean by “midnight”?
It is always just before midnight somehere on Earth. Before I vote in this referendum I need to know if it is:
1. Binding?
2. what proportion of the population has to vote for it to be valid?
3. Whether we all know what we are voting for?
4. What is an acceptable margin to declare an outright victory, and whether that is proportional to the turnout?
5. That if this all goes horribly to worms that the person who delared the need for the referendum fesses up and makes an appearance, even if it is in the stocks.Any likeness to individuals or other events is merely coincidental.
I’m not casting a vote until I know what I’m voting for.
1 hour before kick off.
As far as I know it is purely an advisory vote, and there is no obligation for the result to be carried out.

What about Rees-Mogg, Boris Johnson, Theresa May, and as for the raft of con-artists who need funding for their “legal battles”
