Try ths one out:
We’re just an itsy bity, teeny weeny
Football club that’s owned by Whelan
And we take the p*ss everyday
We’re just an itsy bitsy, teeny weeny
Football club that’s owned by Whelan
And in this league, we’re wanting to stay
(repeat until it becomes really annoying)Hopefully we can actually get to Nottingham for the match if it’s Notts County. St.Helens roads are mad, covered with snow & for loads of estates theres no grit. I bet the Villa games postponed. Are these the ramblings of a madman? From Nottingham, to St Helens, then back to Wigan.
These tomatoes are nice; look, a hot air balloon; Marjorie, where’s my tobacco pouch?
nowt rung wit full stop tho ;)No, you’re right. Your use of full stops is a joy to behold. ;)
I remember a few years ago I made this song up to the tune of “hi-ho silver lining”. We played away at Derby and I went to a gang of young lads and went through the song with them. Sure enough they kicked it off 2 or 3 times and my chest was level with the pitch even though I was sat on row JJ.
Never heard it again after that game though.
The song went something like this and could easily be changed around a bit to include “Roberto’s”, “are playing in the prem” and “were staying up again”
And its Hi-Ho Wigan Latics,
Everywhere we go, we’re singin’
Paul Jewell’s barmy army
Are marching to the Prem…….We’re goin up again!!It could have legs….
Is whelan still in the sun in barbado`s ,can see him now sat drinking on the beech ,and bob ringing him hey dave can i sign such a player ,how much he replies ,bob says 5 million, owd on son can you not get one from championship as good as scotland for 1.5 m,ok ill look mr whelan sir .Bickymon, I must congratulate you on the most inappropriate use of an apostrophe ever seen on Cockney Latic. That one really is a cracker.

You’ve done this by looking at some sort of football manager game haven’t you? Be honest.
Have just noticed the top of your post:
In goal= Vladimir Stojkovic = Great at shot stops/shouting/diving/kicking
Great at….Shouting?
What’s his rating for bicycle kicks and dribbles?
Edinburgh Latic:
I’m quite excited by the prospect of Scott McDonald signing, even it it just to see the mono-brow playing in a blue shirt and in a stadium that doesn’t wobble when it’s windy…..
We are the people etc etc.
Seriously though, he is a good player. I’d prefer Boyd, but McDonald has a much better work ethic. Not sure what he’ll offer different to Hugo though, as he’s only about about foot seven.
I don’t actually think if you ask on here you’ll get many original songs either. If past experience is anything to go by then they’ll be rehashed United, Liverpool or whatever suggestions.
The best songs aren’t “pre-written”. They just happen.
Have posted a handful of originals on here in the past year. All have been deemed too complicated for our East Stand Choir however, in that thay have had more than two lines to remember, or have had a tune that is not familiar to them (ie. is not a Blacklace classic, or a sing-along from junior school)
whelan has learned ,and that is how not to spend on good players ,but bring in crappy cheep players .What about putting an offer in for Matt Sparrow at Scunthorpe? He should be chirpy cheep.
That is indeed very poor news in my opinion, and if it turns out to be true, Loudmouth’s Nostradamus style prophecies are starting to seem more likely…..
I admire your optimism, but feel the need to ask the following:
Where have you heard that the Moses deal is almost done when it seems that every other club in Britain seems to be after him?
Where has Matty Fryatt’s name appeared from? Has he been linked with us? Looks good on paper – but I give you the name David Connolly.
Would you really want Sol Campbell when he would want a ridiculous salary, doesn’t have the ability to speak to his fellow players – let alone coach them, and was already painfully slow for Pompey last season and that was before taking half a season off?
Where’s Bramble gone? I’d have him in the team before Boyce.
Stojkovic has never played in England before, so how do we know he’s better than Kirkland?
Why would I take the p*ss? You came back from 1-0 down to beat a Premiership side 4-1 and progress to the next round of the cup.Absolutely nothing about that result I can take the p*ss about.
Just noticed your avatar. Knew it was too much to resist.
Reading through the ‘other sports’ section of rlfans I came across this comment:It was good to see the excitement before kick off at a football game again. It reminds me why teams like Leeds should be in the Premier League ahead of your Wigan’s and Pompey’s.
My response:
Well they aren’t are they? Unfortunately football doesn’t work on how many fans you have or how exciting the pre-match is. It goes on what you do on the pitch.
This year we have been poor in games i’ll admit (utd, spurs, pompey), but we have been equally good in games as well (villa, chelsea, burnley – who have all beaten you this season but not us btw). We’re in this league because our football has been good enough to get us here and then keep us here. Leeds (we outclassed them both times we played them in the league btw) are where they are because they have been whale (as are Newcastle, Norwich, Southampton and many other ‘big’ clubs.
Don’t like it – go and watch a sport where your crowds and ‘fan excitement’ counts[/quote]
The writer is demonstrating that he/she clearly knows jack about football, hence why he/she is posting on a rugby forum.
Although they have no money and a tatty old ground, the atmosphere at Fratton Park is one of the best in the Premier League.
In football you get in the top division on merit, not on a committee vote –unlike in some other sports.
I can’t see Whelan having him back as the reason he left was money. Whelan would never admit defeat.
Are you into the Glasgow scene at all? They have a brilliant music output there, which started early eighties, and for me, has produced some of the best bands of recent years.
It can be a bit arty and tw@tty at times, but have been to some brilliant nights at King Tuts and Barras.
Well worth a visit if you get the chance.
