Can’t sign him till Jan anyway
WHY? Gona look stupid here arnt I.
You don’t look stupid mate. It will just prove you’re not so old or boring that you listen to things like Talk Sport every morning like I do!It’s a FA/UEFA ruling which stops players signing up for clubs and then getting out their contracts when a better offer comes along. The only loophole is that he has to prove there was just cause to terminate his contract. Not sure what classes as a just cause, but I’m pretty sure that ‘I didn’t like the training facilities and there’s a lack of investment in the team’ wouldn’t be considered a valid argument.
I personally wouldn’t want him at the club even in January as he’s known to be a poor trainer, and recently has had slow starts to the season as he’s overweight and out of shape by the time he comes back from the summer break. Given the length of time he is going to be without playing for a club (can’t see him voluntarily training with a club just to keep in shape), come January, I think he’ll be finished.
Pity, because he used to be a great player.
‘It’s All In My Mind’ – Teenage Fanclub. A not-new band that are well worth a listen.
I promise, if we win I will celebrate by giving you £100. I will also promise never to question blue eyed posts on here. By the way, I wouldn’t worry about needing headache tablets Sunday morning. lolWhen you posted that, did you actually ‘laugh out loud’?
Got it, cheers mate. Just sent you a reply.
Rickenbacker and Gibson. No Vox.
Filmoss
Did or do you go to the Tudor?
I’d play with ten men rather than play King he is useless and Nugent will score more goals than Scotland so why did we not try and get him in?
If Hugo gets injured we are stuffed!!!!!!!!!!!
We are stuffed if Hugo’s out, but Nugent comes with a train-load of baggage and problems. That’s probably why we never went for him.
He was playing in the reserves at Pompey under Harry Redknapp as he was more interested in the Hampshire bars, casinos and brothels than the training ground. Harry realised he’d made a mistake in signing him, and tried to wash his hands of the lad.
Don’t forget, Nugent made his name by being top scorer in the Championship – exactly the same as King.
Do you know any?And if you do, does one of the pair have short, spikey, hair and wear a pinstripe suit?
Or is it just me?…………………..
When I lived in Brum I went on an office night out and ended up in a bar frequented by the lady-love types. Aside from the usual shockers in jeans and comfortable shoes, there were some stunners, and were hands on with each other. ‘Lipstick Lesbians’ was the term I was told. Never seen it before or since, but the image is firmly locked in the memory bank.
Just seen on MOTD, and of course that never tells the whole story, but from what I could see it’s nothing to do with tactics, formations or whatever – it’s just that the players were too slow and flat-footed.Watched it online, and I’d tend to agree. Also, I’ve said it before, Hugo cannot play as a lone striker. He is not big enough, nor the type of player with the inclination to hold the ball up. He is suited to the second striker mode, and needs a partner up with him.
If we are playing one up, Scotland needs to be the target man, and I’ve given him time, but sorry, Gomez is not the attacking midfielder to suit the role required. He’s got decent potential, but he’s not the Gerrard / Scholes type to come charging into the box off the striker. Koumas is more suited to that role than Gomez, and dare I say it, even Scharner would offer more support.
On another point, didn’t Rachid Bouaouzan have a good pre-season? Why has he not even been considered?
that time to go fcuk off song, burnley singing it to mrs doubtfires black cats, did it originate at latics that one cos everyone is singing it now, class,
Nugent two goals, why didn’t we get him inBecause we are too slow.
Because we are too thick.
Because we have no decent ability in signing players as.
Because.
Nugent isn’t a good player Dave, trust me on this one.
He is a trouble maker; a p1ss head with a bad reputation for stalking teenage girlies and sending SMS photos of his own knob to them. He left Pompey because they wanted rid of the man. When he played for them last season he was woeful.
He’s done well today, but I’ll donate my right plumb to medical research if he scores more than half a dozen for the season.
I’d even go as far as saying I’d rather have King in the side.
Yes it is. That’ll teach em eh?
The Hulkster every time.
The old Jazz Singer just missed out on my five.
I dropped the soap today whilst havin a shower in the bath/shower. It went down one side and up the other like a half pipe and i caught it. Now thats amazing stuff !Radical…man. (Is it still cool to say that?)
Admittedly he was pish poor last season, but on paper, he’s a bloody good player!
I don’t think it reflects badly on our other midfielders, because, be honest, if it was announced pre-season that Martinez had signed a French international who’d played for Juventus, Monaco and Auxerre, we’d all be saying what a great coup it was.
Perhaps it was Bruce and Bruce’s style of play that didn’t suit him. Perhaps that’s why he wanted to leave. Who knows? We’ve got him until at least January, so he might as well be given a chance.
