Six of one and half a dozen of the other for me.
The manager(s) made mistakes with team selections, tactics and signings and several of the players were not good enough. The blame for that though has to be put on the manager(s) who insisted on playing them.
It was obvious all season that Power wasn’t good enough yet he still played and we signed midfielders to seemingly act as cover for him. Also as Tyldesley says we had a strike force that had previously struggled at this level and topped it up with players from non-league and League Two.
Again, as Bullitt says Grigg was actually on fire and we were scoring goals early on but due to defensive mistakes we changed the entire way we played instead of just telling Bogdan to f*** off.
We trialled a RB ALL pre-season and then started the season with young Luke Burke who TBH did well and would be given another go for me next season. When he got injured it seemed to be a names in a hat style selection method for that position.
I don’t give a shiny shite about the fookers…but chose to post about them ;)
Not sure we were awful Stu. We weren’t that good tbh.
