McNaughton, well at least it’s adding a bit of youth to the squad.
And an ever youthful Chris Kirkland
Just don’t get not keeping Boyce but signing these 2 unless we’re paying them in magic beans.
Boyce has gone to Blackpool for the same contract he was offered here I’m led to believe so he wanted away
This makes no sense. Really how do you know the terms and length of any contract offer from Blackpool?
As I understand it he is still on trial at Blackpool. What I do know is that McNaughton was training with Blackpool and then headed over to us. Boyce came in on trial after this.
The point is Dog, we didn’t release Boycie he himself chose not to accept the offer the club made him. From a playing point I like you would think being here rather than Blackpool should be the best option so he must have his own reasons for leaving.
Off course he has his reason, the same reason anybody in his position, after the service given would turn it down, he was offered pay as you play FFS!
He’s 35 and has been getting slower.
I think if the players gel then we’ve a chance. If we swap and change every week before losing more players, others sulking and not giving a shit and some signings beings shitter than shit then we’ll struggle again.
Taylor has left. GET IN!!!
Ipswich on loan.
That’s interesting thats two clubs he has gone to, he’s also signed a 1 year loan deal with reading.
Im sure I’m losing my memory. Just read that we turned down an Ipswich bid to loan him to Reading and then post completely the opposite :(

All depends on the deals. We offered Boycie a deal but he chose to reject it.
Looks like we have a bye to the second round in this and will be in the North West group.
Who would have thought eh? Wigan Athletic in the ‘Northern Section’ of the draw ;) ;)
haha sorry Eggy i couldn’t resist. Im only yolking about with ya ;)
I was shocked also

Off topic, What did you think of Hull KR on Saturday. Bloody awesome performance that. And it guarantees me a corporate ticket for the final :)They were excellent. Will need to be even better to beat Leeds though. Could cost them their Super League place too.
To be fair though Garswood, When he was a player he was ‘Calamity Caldwell’ as he was piss poor as a CB but i think he has the right tools to make it as a manager. He has (seemingly) got all the right bases covered to be a successful one. Crap as a player, shouts a lot and Scottish. That’s all you need these days apparently. I do though, however think he has a good brain but reading the forums it seems as though he is following the ‘Martinez Style’ of passing it about a lot with no substance. Time will tell though i suppose and i haven’t seem them play yet so i can’t pass judgement for now.
When you say “piss poor as a CB”? are we referring to former Player of The Year & Club Captain Gary Caldwell? The guy with 50+ caps for his country and numerous domestic medals to his name??
Maybe you are judging him on his final two injury ravaged years as a player?
I prefer to remember him as a player instrumental in our great escape. Victories over Liverpool, Arsenal and United. Great memories that probably won’t be repeated.
But you are free to judge him on his twilight years if you like. :(
No Murph, i was judging his playing career on the basis that he was a poo CB from day 1. 50 odd caps for his country. True but let’s be honest, if my Nan was Scottish she would have got about 10 caps too. As i stated though, i haven’t seen them play yet and i really do believe he has the attributes to succeed as a manager but if he has just adopted the ‘Martinez style’ then it will be another season of mediocre doom and gloom i’m afraid. To be honest though, signing players like Jacobs and Francisco Junior i very much doubt it’s all out defend stuff. Will Grigg is proven at this level so the goals are there if the service is correct. Must admit though i was extremely disappointed to see Tav and Wag go. I can understand Perch, Delort and Rieira etc but they weren’t battlers like Waghorhn and Tav were plus Tavernier was proven at this level. Very short sighted in my opinion. I predict that Tavernier will have a couple of storming years at Rangers then find himself back in the Premier League. I am very seldom wrong with my predictions and i don’t think i will be wrong on this occasion either.
Total crock of shit ;)
So you’ve wrote the season off before a ball has even been kicked?
I think if we do well then around the 10k mark. If not, then about 7k.
He’s out injured, but yes he would be in for Barnett normally. I’ve left McCann out as I reckon he’ll go but he would be in ahead of Power if not.
One game would always be free if we got an extra one unless they overcharged at the start of the season and risked it.
Fully dependant on if he goes 5 or 4 at the back, but i’ll go with:
O’Donnell
James
Daniels
Morgan
Barnett
TaylorPerkins
PowerOdelusi
Grigg

MORE HOME GAMES
And the best thing is that with a Warriors 2015 Season Ticket you will get access to every Super League and Super 8’s game at the DW Stadium, regardless of whether that’s 14 or 15 home games.
As part of the Wigan Club’s commitment to growing the sport, should the Warriors qualify for a 15th home game we may take one of the Super 8’s games on the road to another city in the UK. More details will be announced mid 2015.
