Of course they do Tez. Just because you have muscles doesnt mean you’re on steds or other drugs.

I take it it was London born and raised McCarthy Scarsbrook who said that? He regularly swears on camera. Typical southerner.

Plus we got to play in that stadium and who knows we may even own it plus weve seen three fantastic promotions, an Auto Windscreens Trophy, A league Cup Final and an FA Cup win and semi final. We also have got to play against and see some of the worlds greatest players and see our Latics beat them. Oh and Wigan Athletic in Europe. Just say those words again. FA Cup winners and Wigan Athletic in Europe!
Go on again FA Cup winners and Wigan Athletic in Europe. Amazing! The greatest story in the history of British football and we have all witnessed it.
FFS Dave much gratitude from me for letting me live a dream and if Dave has creamed 600 million off Sky in the process, well done Dave.
We are in a great stadium playing against great clubs still and not piss wet through and shivering at Springy playing South Liverpool on a Wednesday. However if we were back in non league and playing Chorley or Alty again piss wet through on a Wednesday evening I would still be there because this is my great little club!!

Not often I agree with your posts Donny, but that Sir is spot on.

Griff has a good point here because without the experience as a player and the Car, House, Birds and Lifestyle of the modern pro footballer the average mon on here would not fit in and they may even keep the same team two matches running, not rest players who played well in their last match, pick the best team, play players in position, not pick their favourites, play fast flowing attacking football and play their strikers together as strikers. But alas without those lifestyle factors fortunately non of us would ever get that opportunity.

That, and the fact that, at best, this board is populated with substantially less than the average mon.

Of all the shite spouted on this board over the years, the notion that most of this board’s population could successfully manage a Championship football club is right up there with the best of it!
And one on a tight budget at that

That Jennings goal was a peach.

Carson
Perch Boyce Ramis Taylor
Kvist
Huws Cowie/Forshaw
McManaman Riera Maloney

The problem we have with these European style formations is that with the above when we haven’t got the ball Maloney and McManaman need to drop back to support Huws and Cowie creating a 4-1-4-1 formation. Then they need to push forward with Perch and Taylor to create a 2-3-2-3 or 2-1-4-3 formation. One thing that shouldn’t be happening is that Riera gets isolated out wide or is forced to try and hold the ball up 50 yards from goal with no support. The wide men should be up and down like a prozzys knickers allowing Riera to basically goal hang in the middle all game.

Oh dear, it’s all over.

Couldn’t bowl Middlesex out today.

Let’s bounce back next season, straight back up.

Had a chance at effectively 192/8 but couldn’t get the last two lads out.

12500 for a football game at the DW – is that a half full or half empty stadium?

and when the boots on the other foot….

12500 for a rugby game at the DW – is that a half full or half empty stadium?

:-) :-)

12800 for a football league game is a stadium more than half full.

8000 for a RL play off elimination match is a stadium more than two thirds empty.
Last week wasn’t an elimination playoff ;)

Could this be the worst signing in the clubs 82 year history’s?????
Probably

Andy saville & Lee Ashcroft could be in contention !
Both dreadful. As were:

Jeff Peron
Alan McLoughlin
Brian McLaughlin
Leigh Jenkinson

I guess it all depends on how much that 45 minutes from Pasquale Bruno cost us.

302 for 8 declared

Safer than facing the remaining 4 balls of the over when they couldn’t lose a wicket or they were down.

Puzzles me why Anderson aint playing in such an important match as well as Finn for Middlesex

I’m guessing it comes down to their ECB contract

WE ARE STAYING UP SAID WE ARE STAYING UP.

302/8 after 109.2 overs.

Lancashire now have 3 bowling and 3 batting points to Middlesex 2 bowling, 1 batting.

If Lancs win the game they stay up on head to head record.

Day 2 at Old Trafford lancs need to win plus three bonus points I think

Middlesex 214 all out

Lancs 259 for 6

Correct. Middlesex currently have 3 and we have 5. we need 41 runs in the first 14 overs this morning for less than 2 wickets. If they take 3 then we need 91 runs.
