Neil Whitworth who we got on loan from Man Utd wasn’t much cop either.
Whilst the Reading game was superb I wish we’d gone up at PNE the week before (well a few hours later had Ipswich lost). I don’t think I slept that week.
County 1 up after 51 minutes.
Once Valencia knew Utd were coming for him (which was January lets be honest) he didn’t give a shit after
Arsenal in the CC definitely.
Finding out the big guns were playing and wondering how long we could hold on. Pollitt then saves a penalty and you start to think maybe this COULD be our night.
Three turned down penalties and a cracking free kick from Van Persie later and we’re heading out. People texting me saying how unlucky we had been. My response being that I wasn’t bothered about going out as the lads had done me proud. It was the way we were going out that was upsetting me more (see the three stonewall penalties). The rest is history. OLE! OLE! OLE! OL…SH!T!!!
Think I might watch that game again on DVD later :D
From what I heard on SSN this morning there is a ruling that says they can punish something that brings the game into disrepute. Problem is if they did fine him or suspend him then the FAI would kick off again so best to let it go.
Is there only me thinks he actually won the ball with his 1st challenge?
Nope, I thought he won the ball as well. The problem is that whether or not you dive in with two feet or one, you can’t then vanish. He wins the ball and then both players collide. It’s what happens. Probably is a booking, but the Stearman one before it (which could quite easily have been red as it was a shocker – he was certainly nowhere near the ball) definitely influenced the decision.
I don’t think anything influenced the Thomas decision. Both were clear red cards and to be fair, there shouldn’t even be a debate. He had to go and there would have been outrage from everybody bar WAFC supporters if he hadn’t seen red.
I meant for his booking 60 seconds after Stearman’s but I know what you mean
Pasquale Bruno has to be a candidate for shortest debut (and indeed career).

How did I know you would be the first to reply to a Thread tiltled ‘Nice Bum’?
