I’m not too fussed about the “word from the club” stuff. Businesses (which is what it is these days) don’t involve their stakeholders in everything that goes on.
No mention of an injury so most likely he hasn’t been “with it” since coming back from Milan. Tomorrow will be a big indicator of why he wasn’t picked because I don’t think Pearce will get the nod. Then again, I’ve give in trying to second guess team selections.

Well during the window we actually received offers for other players. Nobody came in for Joffy despite loads of rumours and terrace talk.
He’s a great player and probably will go on to be a star but I don’t think we can definitively say he’s our best right now. Most talented…possibly, but he has plenty of flaws in his game due to his age.

Rightly or wrongly we started 5 at the back and they still had acres of space in and around our box and Pearson had all the time in the world. I dread to think what that would have looked like with 1 less defender and an extra attacker.
We had plenty of attacking positions but did nothing with them until Joffy and Jacobs came on. Whether that was because they changed the game or because they were 2 up and realised we wouldn’t get 2 if we played all day.
Playing 5 at the back, playing the useless Lowe and any other team selection complaint is not why we failed to string 2 passes together for an hour nor is it why they scored the goals they did. As Mutty says the 2nd goal was poor tracking back from Lowe but they still waltzed through FIVE defenders. Not sure how the blame for that can be thrown at Cooks door but then again with some he gets the blame for storm ciara.
He has plenty of faults though no doubt about that

Very valid points cupwinners and I agree regards Evans. Whilst Alex Neil might have been glad to see Moore go off, he was still blowing out his backside.
Gelhardt definitely changed the game when he came on and was unlucky with his effort late on. Cook said in his post match that he has a big role to play between now and the end so hopefully we see more of him.
It’s between us and Charlton I think.
Oh – and not a chance Neil Warnock will come here.
Lowe was supposed to be playing with Moore but he is absolute dogshit. How he stayed on for the 90 I don’t know.
