I like those multi coloured seated stadiums because you can’t always tell which seats are empty and which aren’t. That would do us.
I didn’t notice any signs of cockiness in any of those replies. Not being mad keen on Darren Pratley isn’t cockiness. It’s an acknowledgement that we can do better.
Local lad? Which part of Portugal is Peterborough in?
I remember last year some junkie RL player made loads of headlines and he played for Castleford.
Pretty desperate response Martin. Do you honestly believe the population of this country or the world of football dwell on the McKay incident and those surrounding It? I think you hope they do but truth is they don’t. It was last week’s chip paper a week after it happened. And as for the Toney tweet how many people do you think even knew it happened. It was distasteful and if it’s ever got to the bottom of then the culprit should be appropriately dealt with.
But I don’t remember it making any headlines much even though you’d have loved it to have done. As for your earlier comment about us playing in a racist free stadium. I don’t think one exists in any town or any sport in the country. It’s just a microcosm of our society. So climb down from your high horse and put your small minded grudges away.
How ironic considering Mutty’s faux outrage at Latics supposedly sweeping something under the carpet.
If you are referring to the racist abuse of Ivan Toney and whether the club had found and banned the offender, I did as you suggested and asked the club. Guess what – no reply. I’ll keep trying and let you know if you can sit in a racist-free stadium next season.

Yes that’s what I’m referring to. Maybe it’s in the hands of the police and is sub judice. After all Sunderland did nothing about the I incident involving Darren Bent and his mum. It was only the courts and the legal system that imposed that ban.
Apparently this incident happened weeks ago but the club haven’t done anything about it. No doubt the hierarchy have been hoping it would just go away.
Watching this video you can’t help but wonder if Zak Hardaker has had been handing out some of his personal use gear.
Having just read the Wigan Today website it now looks like the club have known about this for 5 weeks and done nothing. How ironic considering Mutty’s faux outrage at Latics supposedly sweeping something under the carpet.
I bet you said the same about Perkins and Dunkley, because they were frees from a lower division.
It’s a shame but I think we all expected him to move on. Hopefully after those 2 years are up he can come back in an off the field capacity as he strikes me as someone who could be a great coach and mentor.
Did you enjoy Newcastle yesterday?
and of course we know it to be true of Sunderland’s crowds, a small minority of whom amply demonstrated their affection for Darren Bents mother.
One individual, who was quickly charged, convicted a couple of months after the incident and received a three year football ban.
No sweeping it under the carpet here Zeb.[/quote]
It was the police that banned him. Not Sunderland FC.
No you’re right I wouldn’t. Just like I wouldn’t want us to sign a junkie.
I’m pretty sure if it was a genuine enquiry and not an attempt at shit stirring you’d have gone direct to the club.
Ask the club.
I would like to think we’d look somewhere else first. His final ball was almost always a let down and when he had a bad game it was a proper stinker. Portsmouth away springs to mind, but there have been others as well were he was a Bambi on Ice type figure.
