He talks Pollocks!
Yes Arky you do
Phil Moss – lets get one thing straight hereYOU LEFT 20 MINUTES BEFORE THE END AGAIN
Like you do every time we are loosing with 20 minutes to go YOU LEAVE
so I am not sure how you can come on here and give a reasoned view
Lets face facts here pal – if we get relegated you will never be seen
at the DW again (unless you are watching rugby)you are that ficklegoodpost goodpost goodpost
I like this mon speaks the truth
Actually I have heared on the grapevine that Bickymon left the pub twenty minutes early and has been seen today in posession of a chubby season ticket
I think he was the ref for that dubious corner in the Blackburn game at home last season or season before any how thats another ref cock up to add to the list
Andre Marriner another coont
indeed
”Stoke yes, but Norwich and Swansea I dont buy that. We have had 8 years in this league ot build a team, and have a good first team if they stay fit. We have been lucky in recent years and our poor squad is coming to haunt us.”That’s right Edinburgh – ONLY 8 years in arguably the toughest and most expensive league in the world and with the lowest revenue streams. We spent a total of 8 years in the fourth tier and 11 + 6 years in third tier, where it took some major investment disproportionate for that division to get ourselves out. We then only spent TWO seasons in the 2nd tier before reaching the lofty heights we now find ourselves in.
I’m sure disproportionate investment in this division would have helped us build a team over 8 years (look at at Chelsea and City), but I doubt we’d have a club to show for it (look at Portsmouth). So 8 years of survival (divisional and financial), whilst often frustrating and demoralising, is actually a bl00dy amazing achievement. And if we can stay up this year, bank the bumper TV money from next year with balanced books then maybe just maybe we can start to build a team on some solid foundations and in line with the time it took us to escape the lower 2 divisions.goodpost goodpost goodpost goodpost
And may I add to continue to piss home town Wiganers off who cant wait for our inevitable relegation
I do hope that we sign an out & out striker in january. For all of kones & di santos hard work, they are not natural finishers & if you dont score, you dont win matches. I am confident that with a goalscorer plus the return of our absentees might see an upturn in our fortunes. Oh & decent refeering.
We have a £6M proven goalscorer on the bench
With Kone off to ANC in January, notwithstanding the fact that he’s been firing blanks for a while now, things do look pretty grim. At least, he still pre-occupies the other team defensively (‘a threat’).
Today, for me he’s had a bad ‘un both in front of goal and in his decision-making in key positions – key moments in a tight game that could have gone either way.
We can’t keep blaming the referees. Make your own luck in this game.
I do hope you mean the African Cup of Nations and he’s not getting into politics or he might never come back. ;)I personally thought Kone looked good on the ball. He made a hash of one chance but at least he’s direct and isn’t afraid of having a shot. I think he’ll come good again.
As for a replacement, for me McManaman would be more suited to the role than Boselli – who, incidentally, I think might be going in January if we can get a replacement.
African Cup indeed, …we’ve had that one before.
Kone, good on the ball, but unfortunately what is equally true …in recent games – Reading, City and Arsenal he’s missed gilt-edged chances, granted he’s getting there, but we have to start converting if we’re to get out this mess. Today, furthermore omitted to play in Stam in first 15 mins. when through on goal.Bad decision (memories of V Moses). Look’s as though he needs a goal to get his confidence going again. Hope he does come good. The early season form of Di Santo and Kone has been key to our current points tally.
Bosselli – won’t be missed. What an investment (for a club of our limited means)
A mistake of Koumas proportions
And don’t forget Marlon King
Agahowler
Breadcrumbs and other fishing words

Law 4 which deals with players’ equipment:
“A player must not ..wear any equipment that is dangerous to himself or another player (including any kind of jewellery)……..
In the event of an infringement of this Law….the player is only permitted to re-enter the field of play when the ball is out of play”.
So, although I was hurling abuse at him about this, and he got lots of other things wrong, he was actually correct in this instance.
Unless the poster that said he wasn’t wearing an earring was correct.
If Di Santo was wearing an earring, I would fine him a week’s wages.
If he was wearing an ear ring how did he get on the pitch in the first place surely these things are checked prior to the match starting
if thats the worst you can pck up on then pity you.i notice no comment on jeanAny positives ?
David Jones had his best match so far he was excellent along with the two Jimmys in a midfield that cost less than £2 million up against proven Champions league midfield of Arteta Wiltshire and the other mon I cant spell his name plenty of positives to bring out of this game onto the next
So it’s been revealed that Olympic tickets were offered to VIP’s and sponsors who failed to turn up and so joe public missed out.
Are we really surprised? You only have to look at the allocation a team gets for a final at Wembley (20k from the 90k capacity) to see where tickets go too. All about how much wonga you have and who you’re bosom buddies with.
It is Egg, but to be fair a lot of these events wouldn’t struggle to take place without companies pumping money into them.
So, if you’ve invested millions into something, the least you’d expect is an allocation of ticket.
The disappointing bit about it for me though is when these tickets aren’t used. Disappointing, but there’s not a lot you do about it.
If that’s the case how much money has a individual pumped into latics over the course of a lifetime supporting the club i demand a seat next to DW
at the end of the day what do we want? to stay in the premier league, the best league in the world, get decent crowds, watch the best teams and the best players, cause the occasional upset and yes try and avoid relegation each year, or get relegated. but then what, yes its a decent league with some big teams, and attractive fixtures, leeds, millwall, cardiff, but wont we be trying to get promoted or will we try and avoid it and hang about mid table every season in which case it will be no different than what we are doing now really but with lower crowds. might as well stay where we are and give it a shot every yeargot to agree
At least I get the honour of being typed in capital letters. :) :P:lol:
