Ahead of tonight’s game with Millwall the Latics are struggling with injuries and suspensions, Jordan Flores red card at Oldham on Saturday for violent conduct will see the 19 year old miss the next three games.
With club skipper Craig Morgan already sidelined, Caldwell could have done without vice-captain Jason Pearce picking up a knee injury, he is now rated at just 50-50 for the game, Chris McCann could slot into the back line with David Perkins picking up the captains armband if Pearce, as looks likely, doesn’t make it.
Grant Holt got another 90 minutes under his belt last night for the Development Squad, but two games in two days would be too much to ask, I wouldn’t expect the 34 year old to even get a place on the bench following almost a year out.
Don Cowie has stepped up his training and also featured for the Development squad, Cisco Junior could find a place on the bench following his absence but Craig Davies won’t be risked, whilst Kev McNaughton is a long term casualty.
So more reshuffling for Caldwell, I think he will keep the shape but tweak the personnel around a little, some forced one through choice.
Latics possible – O’Donnell, Daniels, Barnett, McCann, Power, James, Perkins, Chow, Jacobs, Hiwula, Grigg.

haha thanks for that just confirmed something
GARY Caldwell could not hide his disappointment after loan defender Jonjoe Kenny was recalled by Everton.
The 18-year-old has been a virtual ever-present this term and, with Kevin McNaughton out injured, it leaves Latics with a problem at right-back.
“I’m a little bit disappointed because, while he was doing well for us, we were also doing well for him and Everton,” admitted Caldwell.
“His career was progressing nicely here as far as I could see.
“He was getting football, he was getting experience, he was playing the right way, and a similar way to they play at Everton.
“We’re disappointed, but with a loan it’s always down to the parent club and they have every right to call him back.
“It’s come as a bit of a shock to us – we thought we’d have him until January at least.
“But he’s gone, we’ll have to deal with it, and I think we’ve got players here that can deal with it.”

Despite playing shyte so far this season we are five points off the top not bad and I would have took that at the begining of the season after the mass change in ranks and missing two main strikers
frig me I liked and agreed with that
three goals in two for Huws and Bowton was on the receiving end of it
yup two missing center backs and two injured strikers and Don Cowie
4-0 to the tics and I don’t give a flying feck about the crowd. We’ve had enough stick about our crowds from opposing fans and the media to last a lifetime, lets not try and make a big issue about it.Do you think any other club in League 1 will be discussing their weekend crowd on their fans forums?.
Oh yes they will
Emyr Huws scored for Hudds currently leading 2-1 at Charlton just thowt had mention it

He took one for the team and those that were there gave him a standing ovation as he went off
