Correct Garswood, verstanden is the past from verstehen. although if Blueview had’ve put ‘habe’ before the ‘nicht’ he would have been bang on the money. I’ll shut up now.
Oh and SW…What’s Playa in Tenerife??
I think SW means Playa De Los Americas or whatever it is called. The main place for Drunken Brits in the Canaries, or I could be wrong.
Are you just goin for the season then James? Or are you planning on upping sticks for good?
Should they get through which they should, they wont beat Ghana or Germany should they finish 1st and 2nd respectively !They’d beat Ghana, although The Squareheads could be a different story, even though their squad’s average age is about 12. Should of heard Ze Deutsch about Green last night, they tore him a new one.
Care to elaborate?
yes i would
WHO in their right mind would pay real money for scotland, except martinez !!
Probably most Championship clubs mate, as he scored about 50 goals in two seasons for Swansea. So is a proven Championship goal-scorer, we wouldn’t get the 2 million for him, hell we wouldn’t even get a million, but there would be clubs who would have him.
You just see things through your Darth Vader loving, Bogan fearing eyes mate. ;)
I don’t think Scotland going should have anything to do with who comes and goes myself :)I agree James, however I can’t imagine Whelan sanctioning such a deal for another over 30 something striker, especially after getting his hands burnt somewhat with Scotland.
I agree as well that Scotland shouldn’t be here anyway. I just think whilst he is, it limits us somewhat when targeting other strikers of the same ilk, what with the aforementioned wage bill.
Care to elaborate?
You must know what he means. What he quoted made it look as if you were saying weshouldn’t sign Benjani unless Scotland goes. When in fact we should sign him regardless. Scotland shoudn’t be here anyway :D
Aye, I knew full well what he meant, I still stand by the comment though, Benjani and Scotland are similar players, i.e. target men who will hold the ball up, bringing others into the game. And with Whelan carping on all the time about the wage bill, whats the point in having two similar players of similar age who might not even play anyway given that we’re supposedly going to sign Boselli. (taking a minute to breathe). Coupled with Martinez’s insistence on playing the lone striker, and us not having loads of cash available for wages. I think it’s a fair comment.
Anyway this debate is warped in rhetoric anyway, given that we’ll probably not sign him as he’ll be on quite a wedge I would imagine.
Sorry for tangenting (admittedly not a word)
Tangenting is actually a slang word that is creeping into everyday usage, so don’t belittle yourself there tickmon.
It sounded good, i’ll try to keep my chin up.
I know that people must do, but I can only think of one person I know who actually drives to away matches. I’ve done so only once (Reading – when we lost in that play-off semi) and it was horrible driving back. I only did it because I’d recently passed my test and thought it would be a belting road trip, couldn’t drink or anything, never again.
Average to good Parking facilities by the way. If my memory serves me right, The Madjeski has a similar set up to DW, only their Stadium for me is better. Sorry for tangenting (admittedly not a word)
I was in Berlin in 2008 for the Germany v England friendly, and was stood at a bar next to an England Fan. This is the genuine conversation had:England Fan: Alright?
Me: Not bad.
England Fan: You off to the match tonight.
Me: Yes. You? (He was wearing an England shirt)
England Fan: I am. Not missed a game home or away for ten years.
Me: Very good.
England Fan: You from up north then?
Me: Yes, Wigan.
England Fan: So who’s your team?
Me: Wigan Athletic. Yours?
England Fan: Nottingham Forest.
Me: Ian Breckin still at the club?
England Fan: Who?
Me: He was your club captain.
England Fan: I don’t really watch Forest anymore, just England.
Me: Why?
England Fan: You get to watch better players with England.
Me: So who’s your all time greatest ever England player
England Fan: All time greatest ever….hmmmm…….I’d have to say Frank Lampard
Me: F*ck off:lol:
Very good if true that (the last bit) Mr Walker… If I had a hat I would remove it in respect. It’s a shame there isn’t a suitable smilie to do so. Maybe Jrfatfan knows of one.

Aye, but Edman was experienced and the games last season he played he was found out. I agree though we need a left back
I’d be much happier however, if we went for someone like Haughton from Spurs or the other one from Spurs, I think they’re both Kyle, on a loan or something.
Sylvinho would be on a fair wedge n’all.
Another top notch translation Swindon. :D
TBH though Kudos for finding this information. I dare say it’d be a bit of a coup for us if we signed him.
Aye Bronze. don’t know why I said Blonde. I was wrong after all about that Cyclist.
And I didn’t google, if you watch any of these sports, you’d know who they were, as they’re all pretty well known.
I don’t have a scooby about the others mind.
I’d have Benjani, Petrov as posted on another thread, for me is too injury prone and Sylvinho was good but is now, what, 35? Too old.
In saying that if we buy Boselli there’d be not much point buying Benjani unless we sold Scotland. Similar type of player and I can’t imagine Benjani being on 15,000 a week at Man City, so he’d be too expensive.
