Do what I do and chill out and enjoy the little moment like last Saturdays ridiculous equaliser.
I have accepted relegation (FFS we should add the word relegated after athletic now !).
Pressure off and we might p/ss some tossers off here and there.
It’s done and the owners should just tell Kolo and his gang to get as many youth players blooded in readiness for next season and league 1 again.
Good transfer window in summer and who knows.
No use getting beat up , getting outclassed by dismal Dull city did it for me !

He’s a promising player and I was initially pleased at the thought of him coming back.
With some thought though now I’m not so sure as I’m not sure he’d improve on what we have up front already.
Id sooner any funds ( assuming we have some obviously) be spent on improving that non existent midfield and some additional cover at the back.
If we haven’t got the funds then maybe look into that development squad again for another Hughes ,Thelo or Lang.

After the euphoria of that last minute goal and it’s coming to something when a goal against the world giants Cardiff city can be described as euphoric!
Both teams really poor yesterday and the game was absolutely terrible, Cardiff so terrible as they sacked their manager after the game.
My main concern is that this game was a stonewall three pointer and we still couldn’t produce that against a very poor and unmotivated side.
It looks like relegation for me all the way and yesterday confirmed it for me.
The team is just not good enough and we will just have to enjoy those little moments like yesterday before the end of the season.
I live in hope though , it is Latics after all.

Excited at Joe G possible loan signing
And I bet he would come back in a heartbeat.

I agree no use getting rid of him whatsoever , hee needs the time.
The club over achieved last season and expectations were sky high.
Yes bring in some players but don’t over do it and look for bargains and youth policy players.
I hope he has some good contacts and can bring in some players but I am old school and believe in scouting and youth policies and the best managers over the past 60 or 70 years followed that simple process when you look at it .
No use bringing in players with wide boy hard sell agents coming in for a wage and then slinging it next summer.
I am no fan of league 1 football but we seem to thrive in that division and a few seasons of bouncing between the two but making progress isn’t the end of the world.
A busted club and administration made me realise that it doesn’t really matter where you are in football , every club has its level.

A shame as I liked Broadhead , a good lad who always gave his all.
His contract is up allegedly this summer so if this is the case Everton will probably want to sell him and given his record at Sunderland and Ellis Simms going back I’d expect him to go back there.
I would rather Kolo bring more lads from the development squad than buy a loads of nobodies.
It never worked back in 2017 and I doubt it will work now.
Lang, Asgard and Hughes are all home grown and have arguably been the best players of late , all play for the shirt and know what it means.
After Monday and being outclassed by a lowly team like Hull I have resigned myself to relegation now.
Recruit sparingly Kolo and have a good look at that development squad because it is starting to produce.

The team 90-94 was made up of crocks, Free transfers ,sunday league players ( two goalkeepers i can think of straight away !!)and has beens.
The wages they were paid would have been laughable compared to what this present bunch are probably being paid but i never came away thinking none of them were not having a go.
In fact i would have gladly put Neill Rimmer or Ian Kilford in that midfield yesterday ahead of what we had yesterday for sure, at least they tried their hearts out.
The question is whether this is the worst bunch we have ever seen and i would say yes but lets not forget Leam cobbled this bunch together and made it into a very good league 1 team but unfortunately not in any way shape or form a championship one.
Latics teams have always been used to the underdog tab but maybe this has changed now especially by the reaction i am seeing from away crowds at home matches.
My view is to use this month to weed out those that want away and try and replace as best he can while also looking to our development squad to see if any more are worth giving a run and the FA cup game would be a great opportunity.
I would certainly try this as the standout players of recent weeks have been Lang , Hughes and Asgaard , all home grown players.
When all is said and done at least we have a club to support , look where we were 2 years ago and it puts everything going on now into perspective and i most certainly didn’t storm off yesterday before the final whistle.

Buck now stops with the ownership and whether they are prepared to invest in the club.
They have had a remarkable period of success borne out of very little but the problems now are squarely out on the pitch not on the sidelines and that game yeaterdaysaid it all for me.
Didn’t see anything whatsoever that resembled improvement and in many respects they look worse than before the break.
Outclassed by a very ordinary and average Middlesborough team is very tough to take.
The team should have been strengthened properly last summer and the lack of investment back then is plain to see now.
Not the managers fault he can only work with what he has.
Over to the ownership now big time , honeymoon period and back slapping is well and truly over and the next month will tell us how serious they really are.

I agree with CW on Jewell who for me was our most successful manager although he had arguably the best budget to work with of all other names although if you go off working with b@ll all then it remains Graham Barrow and his first stint for me.
Wish the new manager all the luck in the world at turning it around although i am not expecting a great deal until new year at least when a dip into the coffers will be needed.
Need a few additions and without those i think the season will be a struggle regardless.

Well, it has been a long time coming, seeing as the bookies virtually shut the book with him as 1/6 favourite to be the next manager.

But here he is, Kolo Toure… ex Man City and Arsenal defender, who has shadowed Brendan Rodgers at Leicester for the last few seasons as assistant manager, plus the Ivory Coast job.

What will he bring to Wigan Athletic? I am not sure, but he is certainly the first guy filling the position that has cited us as a big club in his opening statement.

Uwe Rosler said we were a big club also in his first press conference from memory .
