Even stronger feeling of a much needed away win tonight that’s I had this morning !
Maybe it’s our noisy home support that lifts them to greater heights as every player today was trying to get a foot in and battled.
Derby must be there for the taking on Wednesday night but the reality will
Be depressingly familiar no doubt. The famous Port vale game at home ,good Friday 1979.
5-3 home win and arguably the greatest comeback
In the clubs history.
Id bet that most on this site are diehards and I reckon all the JCLs ( Premier league supporters are the JCLs in my opinion ) long ago resigned their 2005-6 home shirts into the garages to wash the car.
Good supporters view football as a habit they cannot kick due to sheer love for their respective clubs and all the brilliant social aspects that go with it.
My other first was taking my then 4 year old son to his first game at the back end of the 93-94 season against Darlington in a relegation battle. He at was being schooled in all things Rugby by some of my relatives at the timebut never looked back after his first visit to our lovely old springy.
What a story since and some fantastic trips abroad , a great story.
Been great to reacquaint myself on here with all the old names after my social media resignation .
A great site to be onI doubt he will get sacked , he just needs to improve and use the experience he has to hand.
Reid and Royle were both top players and managers in their time, surely he is taking advice from them
Sacking him isn’t the answer and given that all the players ran towards him to celebrate the goal is testimony itself.
3 straight clean sheets at home is pretty impressive , just need to change things away from home.3 home clean sheets in a row actually
Not bad but up front is more of a problem at the moment .
A point on Saturday would be an achievement but is anybody expecting anything when we have only won 2 away since August 2018 ????3 home clean sheets in a row actually

A point on Saturday would be an achievement but is anybody expecting anything when we have only won 2 away since August 2018 ????A poor game but some encouraging performances from one or two ,Lowe and Bryne were better last night.
Marshall has really settled in now also
Pattern of last season very evident , home wins , away defeats and a negative pattern throughout.
On track for 50-55 points if the pattern stays the same.
Shouldnt we expect more though ?
That said a win is a win regardless of how fortuitous the goal was.Chris wilder is a managerial genius getting a tune in the premier league from Leon Clarke and other league one standard players!!!!
Arguably the best ever player I have ever seen in a Latics shirt.
Shades of franz beckenbaur at his best with young Reece.
Seemed to have everything which is very rare in a teenage footballer and boy have we missed him this season.
Wish him all the luck in the world and am still smirking at the audacity of.Brighton for even thinking they could get him. After sacking off my social media page after 11 years
I have returned to this site again and intend to join In More get some
Posts going etc.
Will most likely bore the @rse of people and I am prone to a rant after a defeat but nice to be back on the site and see some of the old posters still on here.
Hopefully a few more will get it going but nice to be back amongst fellow Tics...
Despite some of their horrible vile people who purport to support them I honestly hope they pull through this but it looks very bleak now.
A dying football club is a very sad and sorry sight and I only feel pity and sadness it has come to this.As bad as that ground hog day away performance was tonight spare a thought for the poor shakers down the road.
Decent club and supporters and very unlikely to be in existence by the weekend.
Sobering thought indeed.Would have taken the league position all day long and how many more points could have been won when we sit down and analyse it all?
The club feels different now after the takeover and it has been great to see youngsters from our youth teams getting starts.
A few of them tried out over the summer months and a couple of Reece James type additions and a play off push might not be out of the question rather than a relegation dogfight.
A new era beckons and one that is equally as bright as the whelan one in my opinion !An amazing week and some great performances from
some of the seasons fall guys.
Special mentions to Walton, Robinson, Clarke , Massey and of course Reece James.
Delivered the goods when it mattered and the relief and elation when that second goal was smashed in today could be felt around the ground.
Well done to everybody in the team for finally stepping up to the plate when it really mattered. -
