Chairman. Anyone who isnt obsessed with lying and creaming money. You dont have to be mega rich to run a club, Just have half a brain with finances. Not like Whelan. He makes up stories because he knows the fans will believe them about saving them e.t.c
Don’t have to be so called fans to realise we do not have to pay to watch that. It is a total waste of money. Whelan doesn’t give us anything in return for our money. He expects us to fork out 20 odd quid every week to watch a league 1 side in the premiership. I think not. Pay to watch that disgrace, i don’t think so.
Now if there was fight in the team and manager and they genuinely tried and fought tooth and nail every week it would be different. If we were being unlucky and just getting beat by better sides then i would go and pay to support it. Im not paying those imposters over inflated wages when im struggling to pay rent myself. Im sorry but they do not deserve it and Whelan should know better considering his upbringing and knowing that the town is on its knees. He expects us to all line his pockets with nothing in return.
He id a decent player though, similar to Odemwinge at West Brom. No doubt he will be turned into a wing back here though and ruin him.

Well said I totally agree he has been the saviour of this club and stupid knobs like these have perhaps been watching Wigan for a couple of years and then most likely from the comfort of armchairs.Unfortunately not, You see just because people have different views doesn’t mean they have just been watching for ‘a couple of years’.

Isn’t that part of being a chairman. They are his employees. If he was never prepared to make a go of it he should have left us alone rather than use us as a guinea pig to boost his wealth.
Griff he has never made a fight of this league. he has never pushed on for the next level, he has never done what he promised and gone for Europe, He has took sky money, transfer money and sponsorships e.t.c and never spent a penny of it. I bet if you count over the last 6 years. On transfers he has spent what has gone through the turnstiles.

I think you are thick for not seeing that Whelan is a leech and would see you burn over a fiver. He doesn’t care about Wigan. Just his money. Writing off a debt my arse. You believe it because he says it. It’s the fans who have paid it off not him. We have put the money into his pocket and he has sold our players without replacing them. He owes us about 100m i reckon in false promises and warchests e.t.c. If the thick people keep lining his pocket he will carry on doing it. He has creamed well over 200m since the prem years and never re-invested it in the team.

The bloke brought what most people said was an impossible dream to a very small club, he dared to dream and let us fans dream aswell. The knobs are the Wigan public that didnt back the club.How have we not paid him pack. He can’t buy fans, Money does not stretch that far. Selling your best players every season, touting them to other clubs through the media and lying to the public won’t help him. He did not have a dream, he wanted a money making adventure for himself not us. Invest a few million and made a huge profit at the end of it. Thats all he was in it for in the first place. He is not Jesus you know. We don’t have to bow down to him.He kept his promises at first because he knew we would all buy it, It was easy for him then but not now, he has lied and contradicted himself for the last 8 years.

With football the way it is with the tv monies and that we would have been ok. Nobody could have forseen the the sky boom so who knows. All i do know is that Whelan has to go.
