Delort with Riera, Fortune, Holt, Waghorn would be fine but two strikers is not the way at Latics anymore. That went out the window six years ago. Shame really it used to be great. Was Heskey and Camara the last true strike partnership? Can’t remember just got used to watching one up front crap.

Heskey and Sibiersky – Emile and Antione. sounded more like a pair of hairdressers !!!!

Macarthur was sorely missed last night. There was no bite at all from our midfield. Cowie is like the invisible man. Forshaw is a work in progress.Kvist looks OK (ish)

At the back Boycey is looking every inch of his 35 years and seems to be struggling.Kiernan I’m also still undecided about. He let Sammon outfight him last night for the 2nd.I feel sorry for Barnett as I thought he was one of our better defenders last season. And why play a right footer at left back when you bought 2 left backs in the summer??

    Not harsh in the slightest.

We were shite basically.Outplayed all over the park for 80 minutes.

A draw would have been lucky and undeserved and to let Sammon score sums it all up really.

Mid table cannon fodder by the looks of things.

It all in Playing To Win.

It’s a nice easy read and all Wiganers should read it at some some point.

    Most Pointless thread EVER

    Not pointless. Disgraceful.

I think it’s a disgrace that anyone should even suggest this.

I’ve just read Playing To Win while on holiday.

We wouldn’t even be in existence or if we were probably back in the NPL without his input and his money.

He built us a ground for goodness sake and his money paved the way for us to get into the PL and more importantly in my eyes win the FA Cup.

Read the book Grumpy and you will understand his financial strategy – if you can read and have more than half a functioning brain that is !!! :) :) ;) :P

    Listening on WISH.

    Same old same old.

Most of the possession but no final killer pass or finish. Very few goal attempts.

Difference is Garner has a strike partner at Nobs and decent service. I think Nobs also play a pressing, attacking game.
OOOH and the cost. Nobs wouldn’t let him go for nowt.

    Nobs ?????????????????????????????///

    Eh??

Well Argus69 and myself were almost correct with our last guess so let’s see how we fare for the trip to Cardiff?

    2-1 to Cardiff

    150 following

    Hmmmm

    An optomistic 1-1

For me there was something just not quite right at that fans meet the manager questions thing? Couldn’t put my finger on what but he didn’t come across as amiable ! I thought he was the man for the job and still might prove to be but his tinkering is a concern for me! Was the new striker injured today, if not then a concerning substitution !

Brentford fans rated him as arrogant and clueless.[/quote]

Well he came across as a right childish plonker yesterday.

He didn’t like the way the Charlton manager celebrated ???

I’d be more concerned that we don’t seem to have a number 9 who looks like scoring at the moment and we are conceding 2 a game.

Got to get past Cardiff on Tuesday first.

I can’t see that being as easy as last seasons Cup match especially after them scoring 3 yesterday.
