Why all the panic? I had villa to win last night, admittedly not that emphatically. We can’t rely on other teams we have to do it ourselves.
It’s still all in our hands. Win our next 2 – no guarantee but certainly achievable then we are out of the drop zone. We would have to beat villa on last day, again most definitely doable. Win all those most likely we will be safe. Martinez will be keeping the players calm and relaxed and we need to do the same. It certainly ain’t over yet.
Keepers efforts for first goal was horrendous, so nonchalant it’s hardly believable.
I think Martinez has a decision now on the first choice keeper for rest of season. Leave the new kid in or bring back al habsi. To be honest I think the spell out of team will have done al habsi some good and given his experience of the relegation battle of the last two years I think that is the defining thing for me so would bring him back.
Yes the horse punchers are catchable, said the other day I only think they’ll pick up a draw and defeats from their last 3. Therefore we need 39, the same number I also think villa will reach. Maybe 38 will do it on goal difference now they got hammered.
After today should feel gutted we didn’t see it out, though strangely don’t feel too despondent. I thought we’d lose today, was confident we’d see it out but as half went on I thought we would. To lose a late goal is a sickener but then again we could easily have lost it at the death, so all in all probably a point gained, the value of which we’ll know in a few weeks.
I think Darlington went the way as the new Wimbledon, start right at bottom of pyramid with a new name new ground etc. they’ll probably resurface in the conference in a few years.
If your account is already set you just need additional client codes and surname to assign tickets to them – you don’t need to set up an additional account. Should take as long as it takes to input a few numbers and a name.
Booked 7 online, no problems at all. Not quite sure why you want to queue all night when you can order from comfort of own home particularly as most will have Internet access in this day and age. Suppose only concern is postman half inching them!
Summed up nicely leylandlatic
Some shite written on here, he should have fooked off? And who else would have taken over and progressed us?
The guy is working with smallest budget in league, is very forward thinking unlike say bruce by being the driving force behind developing an academy and new training facilities, which will reap rewards and hopefully provide talent and ultimately income in the medium to long term. He is the face of the club, promotes it very well and genuinely cares about it unlike most journeymen characters that we could have had.
He ain’t perfect, if he was he’d be managing Real Madrid. The grass ain’t always greener and I for one will continue to support and back him. I think some need to calm down, we have lost one game, survival is very much in our own hands and we have a cup final to look forward to. If we go down then so be it – it’s what happens in football, we will get over it and I for one will be hoping bob would stay to lead us back up.
If worst happened, I think he’ d stay. I think the club means more to him than just his job. What players we could keep I don’t know, though European football will help retain and recruit those. Parachute payments will help on that front also.
It ain’t over yet though, it’s been a massive week. A week till next game to regroup, refresh mind and body. Positive thing is we are playing reasonably well, have experience of these scraps, have a winnable game in hand and face our nearest contenders at home on final day.
Just shows how far we have come as a club when we debating the merits or otherwise of the FA Cup Final kick off time in which we are participating! Couldn’t care less about the logistics of getting there and back again, just ecstatic about the fact we’re playing in it!
Everyone relax, there will be enough to go round, even with two per season ticket which seems sensible. Not everyone will take up the 2 ticket option but is an opportunity to expand the fan base on the back of a loyal customer. Non st holders will already be on database with decent relevant purchasing history and so will get one. After that keep a few back for our supporters now living abroad and coming home to see history being made. Would suggest if you don’t fall into these categories then probably not a genuine latics supporter so can’t complain if don’t get one as reckon we will sell our expected 25 tho allocation.
Saw one tic fan get punched to floor en route to tube after match, quite clear he wasn’t your typical sort looking for grief. Those responsible we’re a group of 18 year old youths, clearly offspring of those from yesteryear. They swiftly sought sanctuary in midst of their support, sums em up really. lets hope the guys ok. The walk back to tube was quite an unpleasant experience.
