Jr has done nothing since leaving, we don’t have the money to get a proven goalscorer, if we did they probably wouldn’t come, since benson went we don’t have the nouse to scout a prospect. That’s the top and bottom of it.
The joys of being a latics fan, oh for a decent cup run, oh never mind.
And if we are in the bottom three, because we are shite, just who are the wonderful players set to be poached by other clubs?
I said a while ago that McCarthy was a prospect, I’ll stand by that, the rest of them are championship players, they’ll end up at their level.
now mr know it all show me one post on here where I have been on here to discus any football subjects either after defeats or victories in the past 8 months.
What really is “tedious” is letting your vitriolic opinion get in the way of facts.
So, by your own words, the only time you have come on here in the past 8 months is today, after we have lost. How’s that for facts and opinions?
No further questions. And what makes you think that I have either the time or inclination to trawl back to read what you might or might not have written in the last 8 months?
I really didn’t think you was as stupid as you are showing or perhaps in griff world you don’t listen to anyone else, look at this thread you moron and you will find my contribution was a reaction to comments made about me.
I will tell you again I have not commented on this board about wigan athletic football issues since march15th this year and if you care to research that date you may be aware why.edit 11th not 15th
It was your birthday and bobby didn’t send you a card?
But how can inferiority ever be better than superiority?
Now I like inferiority, and I like superiority, but which is better?
There’s only one way to find out…………….FIGHT!!!!!!
I think we will be relegated, due to losing our best players again, and replacing them with shite, Bobby will leave, and Wigan athletic will never see the premier league again. Should be fun though eh?Another of my Pre season predictions for mighty aff, I know it’s not over til the fat lady sings, but sudworths wife has been singing at every away game, maybe that’s why we’re going down.
The difference being that my prediction actually shows a modicum of insight on how a season will pan out, prior to it starting, whereby yours are based on something inherently obvious and 99.9% likely to happen, still, If it makes you happy to believe that you are as clever as me by predicting that the sun will come up or the world won’t end, then you carry on son, we all know you aren’t, but you carry on.
Just one of my predictions.
Basically, if you predict a lot of things, many of them will be correct and you will be proven to be a genius, we’ll see how this one pans out, but I’ll stick my neck out and say that the biggest activity for citeh in January will be Mancini and Balotelli out.
To the tune of I love you baby
You’re just too crap to be true
Can’t get a goal out of you
You’ve got an awful first touch
I want to punch you so much
At long last Franco has arrived
He looks even worse by your side
You’re just too crap to be true
Can’t get a goal out of youArouna Kone……..don’t let me down I pray
Arouna Kone……..the goals the other way
Arouna Kone……..What did we buy you forArouna Kone…….You looked quite good at first
Arouna Kone…….but now your bubbles burst
So we should drop you Kone…..we should drop yooooouuuuu! My humble opinion is that Kone has a poor first touch, can look clumsy on the ball and wastes too many chances at this level.
Di Santo shouldnt even be classed as a striker, his goalscoring record is woeful, him and gomez have played a similar amount of games for us, and jordi has more goals, not bad for a slow, lazy midfielder eh?
And before some Bobby loving eternal optimist reminds us all that di santo is an argentina international, lets have it right, he wouldnt get anywhere near that team in a tournament, with a fit aguero, messi, tevez, higuain to select.
just my opinion, and i know its probably all we can do to try and find a hidden gem, but they are rare, swansea have hit gold with Michu, but for every one like him, theres twenty that are shite.
We’ll play some good football all season, we’ll lose more than we win, we’ll be in the relegation fight, we’ll win games we ought to lose and we’ll lose games we ought to win, this season, next season, repeat to fade……..
West Ham can do what they want, they did win the world cup you know
I’d say not signing messi when he was 10 years old is probably the biggest mistake we’ve made, hang on, I’ll just check that with Wikipedia
Just my humble opinion but 2 things:
1) Bobby seemed to wait an eternity to make the change. To keep the same shape in midfield & at the back that was doing relatively well up until that point I’d have made the substitution straight away
2) Bearing in mind how well Lopez played in his last 2 games, I’d have thought that the substitution to make would have been to bring him on for Gomez then it’s a kind of like for like for Figueroa. Bringing McArthur on (as much as I rate him) then (IMO) put us at a bit of a disadvantage (in addition to being down to 10 men) because Latics then had Jones & Beausejour playing out of positionNot saying I know more about the game than Bobby (well maybe
) but that seemed oddOn the plus side it was good to see McManaman getting more than a 23 second run out!! ;)
I thought it was an odd choice too, but I’m not a professional football coach and he is.
I think it took a while to get McArthur on as Jones was going through all sorts of things on a tablet before he actually got on the pitch.
Agreed, but I’d love to know what Bobby’s thinking behind that change was
I noticed that about Jones & his Ipad too & can swear at some point I could see Jones moaning that “this f**kin thing never works”!!
Some of the levels on angry birds are quite difficult.
Roy Carroll on TV now in goal for Olympiakos v Arsenal :)
He was as good a goalie as I’ve seen playing for us, but I think his attituKde was a bit questionable. Do you remember him squaring up to De Zeeuw and having a right tantrum? And hasn’t he had some gambling problems or something?
Probably never reached the heights he was capable of. That said, he did have a spell at United and has played for some big clubs. Wikipedia says he Even had a spell with Bruce Rioch at Odense BK in Denmark, I think. After googling it i Seem to remember he came on as a sub for his first Olympiakos appearance…..saving a penalty with his first touch.
Was the Reading play off Semi at the Madjeski his last game for us? Thats what it says on wikipedia, If so, he possibly saved a penalty with his last touch for us…..unfortunately Reading knocked in the rebound. :(
Fixed it for you ;)
A decent no.10
