Funniest thing was it was ooohh clap clap clap ahhh and our muppets couldn’t even get that right, they only do it on corners and you know it’s going to be every 5 mins for anything now for our lot…..cringeI was doing a bit of squirming in my seat about this too. Great chant, everyone in sync, original, intimidating, built up the tension well and they seemed genuinely thrilled that our lot had cottoned on to it. I don’t think it was too long before some of the Belgians were squirming too :dry:
He can’t help it, can he? I’m surprised he wasn’t surprised Real Madrid and Barcelona didn’t come in for him too. And as far as England winning the World Cup next year, there’s about as much chance of that happening as Latics winning the FA Cup…
Just glad ‘Taken’ isn’t in your five favourites. I’m no afficionado but I think ‘Taken’ is possibly the worst film I’ve ever seen. I’m a believer in allowing the imagination to run whilst watching a film but ‘Taken’ outstrips anything I’ve ever seen. It makes ‘Rambo’ look like it could be a true story. Everything about it is bad; the acting, the script, the plot, everything.
It was a little while ago but I slept all the way through the latest King Kong at the pictures awoken only by all of my family members wailing and blubbering with just twenty minutes left of the three hours odd of its duration.

effort in – many thanksI totally agree with the first part of this. Been saying it for months. A couple of good spells within games doesn’t make a summer. Can’t beat a man. Runs up his own arse. Makes bad decisions. Can’t cross. The ball controls him rather than the other way round. More effort won’t make a jot of difference.
The other winger McLean isn’t much better but I have absolute respect for his effort and commitment. He went in for a 50/50 yesterday like a midfield hardman. Made me wince. Works his b0ll0cks off that lad.
Referee was an absolute joke tonight. How he didn’t give anything for that fowl on powell right at the end beggars belief.

Sooner january comes the better for me & we can sign a decent striker. Nothing against fortue but holt?????I thought so at the time he was signed and I am even more convinced now – Holt has only come here because he wanted to move back north and can’t believe the deal he has got with us. He’s just batting out time until the pension kicks in.

This sums it up really. Thing is with Holt, it’s akin to working with someone that tries to look busy all the time. He actually made a run last night ending up with him flicking a pass to Gomez that Usain Bolt wouldn’t have kept in and looked at Gomez in disgust as if to say ‘here’s me working my nuts off and you can’t keep up’. He’s here for a payday, that’s all.
As for the Gomez bashers, it’s about time they left him alone. The lad’s got loads of talent but his confidence must be rock bottom. All he has to do is mis-control the ball and the groans start. He’s just starting to look forward when he picks up the ball (rather than the Martinez doctrine of control, then pass back, Ben Watson being an acute sufferer), gets into some great positions and isn’t scared to have a dig. We’ll miss him more than you think.
So the £1,599 per person the club is charging for the trip to Kazan constitutes 0.1% of what the club has made so far in the competition? Or is £1.6m the revenue for being in the group stages? I know the club is a business and has all sorts of things to factor in but I think £1,599 is a bit steep. Maybe it could’ve been a way of rewarding select loyal supporters of the club to something special at a reduced rate.
