I thought Emlyn Hughes might have had a mention by now…

I was there. I was six. Colin Bell definitely scored the goal. About 83 minutes, I think. If me dad was still around, I’m sure he would confirm this.

Yep, you can never, ever get sick of watching that goal or reading every word of every report.

I hadn’t really noticed before but after reading the report you attached I noticed that we only conceded two goals in seven FA Cup ties this season. Maybe the cup side defence line ups should have appeared in more Prem games? All water under the bridge and who cares anyway – the FA Cup resides at the DW :cheer:

Your families are going to be gutted when they find out this year’s holidays are in Motherwell, Donetsk and Minsk!

Or delighted with trips to Lisbon(estoril), Florence or Seville
Quite true. Lisbon in September would be a nice one with a Thursday to Monday stay in Cascais.
Standish you are a travelled man, estoril/cascais uded to be a popular package tour destination 20-30 years ago and I have have been there a few times, although you never see either in the popular brochures any more.

Lisbon is still one of my favourite cities, it would be a dream come true if we managed to draw them(Estoril)
I do like Lisbon but must say I actually prefer Porto – which is one of my favourite cities, although that’s probably because I’ve spent more time there than in Lisbon.

Saying that though, I stayed at this place in Cascais a few years ago. Lovely hotel.

I stayed in this very hotel last September, Thursday to Monday on a work (ahem) related trip. Very expensive though and very happy someone else was paying. Spent most of our time eating and drinking in Cascais, outside of the excursions that had been laid on for us. Beautiful part of the world, fingers crossed for Estoril :)

I liked how they just managed to cut out his expletives at the start of his little speech.

You’re right but I hadn’t noticed that. For anyone that missed last night’s episode you can have a look. Young Darren’s appears around 10 minutes 40 seconds in.

That isn’t his dad It’s his uncle. Allan Fairhurst. His name is Darren ? He lives on Beech Hill Avenue.

I always thought it was his dad. You can see the resemblance though.

Getting to the Premier League was infinitely better than being there. Let’s hope we can enjoy that feeling again.

And if offered it again I’d still take winning the FA Cup over Premier League survival.

Winning the cup certainly took the edge off the feeling of being relegated. A bridge too far and I think we all knew it really.

Another trip to Wembley, at least six Europa League games and something to play for other than finishing 17th is a lot to look forward to, if you ask me.

I read that article this morning and it’s not an easy read as it p*sses on our parade a bit but he makes some valid points that are hard to argue against.

Has been sacked. Little Wigan strike again.

He was gone even if they’d won the cup.

I won nothing on the match but I couldn’t believe the prices on offer. I had a fiver on 2-1 at 25/1 and a couple of quid for the same scoreline with Maloney first goal at 250/1!! Also a couple of quid on 1-0 Kone to score at an unbelievable 120/1. Shows how big an underdog we were! God knows what price Ben Watson and 1-0
