Well Micky it seems Mr Holloway has backtracked somewhat on his threat to resign if fined for fielding a weakened team. He qualified it by saying only if Oyston agreed it would be in the club’s best interests. Oh dear!
My money’s on him not resigning and paying the fine himself out of the cut he’ll get from the sale of Charlie Adam.
Cutting observation chap…
I like it………………. ;)
This weekend we can take our thoughts away from the league and look forward to a local derby in the cup. Was going to wait till Friday but got them before the game on Tuesday. Really glad I did because we’ve sold our initial allocation of 2,000 tickets out!Should be great then, as I can’t imagine anyone from the ‘darkside’ buying one.
After all this ‘gumph’ on here over the past couple of days I can’t fookin wait to get behind the Latics with a couple of thousand like minded people.
Bring it on………….

never said thay did,did i.was just saying it was a good atmosphere you plick.i take it your 1 of them that just slags em off 4 90 mins. When you take your keyboard from your @rse and type something constructive (and preferably in English) then your opinion may count for something.
Of course I’m one of those whose only joy in life is to boo the team, slag off the manager, moan and whinge for 90 minutes and thinks that Mr Whelan is the devil incarnate for all the time, effort and money he has placed in the club. It’s all there to read in my posts over the years……………
Now take your pathetic, pithy, juvenile ‘come-back’ and ram it where the sun don’t shine. No one is listening to you; not even your friends (who only laugh at you).

oh! and one of these to really indimidate you……

Dude………it’s all about having a sense of humour. Good to see that you have one.
;)
A well reasoned reply even though I cant possibly comment on the Spencer thing ! Just one criticism, you did lose it at the end ! As you are clearly a tyro on this forum, perhaps a winky emoticon would have made it light hearted and not made me think you were losing it at such an early stage !! ;)Clever fil…….
…….very clever. ;)
First off – I despise this man with a passion and it would be an unpopular move with the fans as the – albeit small – number of replies to this thread thus far shows. That said…
There are a very limited number of experienced ‘quality’ players about for a wages-only cost. If the bloke might be available on a free, as the article suggests, is it not worth giving a contract to the end of the season? He doesn’t have to be a regular starter, but as we have a paper thin squad he could someone we might turn to if needed.
As I say, not popular, but I’m just saying…
It’s hard playing the ‘Devil’s Advocate’ Griff isn’t it…… however, it’s a fair point you make about……. There are a very limited number of experienced ‘quality’ players about for a wages-only cost.….
The balance being ‘what he can bring to our game with his experience’ against any damage done to (dare I say) the ‘fragile confidence’ of the team and supporters.
Interesting one this………..
…………..still don’t what him here though.
And another pointless attempt at trying to look clever. Doesn’t look good when you read it.I’m surprised you actually managed……..
I for one will boo him the moment he walks out in a Wigan shirt.Scum is all you can say about him.
I’ve never boo’ed anyone in a Wigan Shirt (ohhh! get me), however, I believe this would be a signing that would divide both the terraces and the dressing room.
Not a welcome move (if it is correct).
In my humble opinion.
No Fil, I didn’t know. I admit it did cross my mind but I didn’t think he could be that infantile.
That’s just childish Griff.[/quote]
Oh grow up, the pair of you….. ;)
yeah thanks fatman, and the most pointless and arse licking post of the year goes to you. Congats. We do want to see Allardyce so what is your point. I also suggest you go on wikipedia and look up what mercenary means. Think you need a bit more schooling yet before talking about big boy things so shut the f*ck up
First of all TBH makes a very valid point about this forum being open and about putting opinions over.
We do want to see Allardyce so what is your point.Don’t ever speak in my name……I don’t want to see Allardyce here (and I know quite a few otheres who feel the same).

You, my friend, are the solecist here; stick to opinions and debate and stop making a fool of yourself.
Just a little concerned about your use of of the ‘Second-person’ perspective.
Busted, I’m really a Bolton fan :o
Perhaps if I’d put ’35 points kept one up last season’. Although that makes me sound like the queen.
Phew!..
…..for a moment there thought you were a ‘Chubbie’
As I see it we are doing worse and with a supposedly better squad !! We wont get more than 13 pts from the remaining fixtures ! 35 and down which is a shame really !
35 points kept you up last season, and the season before. Time to break out the Moet! :D
Just a little concerned about your use of of the ‘Second-person’ perspective.

Positives? Good to hear Al Wilson’s The Snake being played at the end of the game. You’re wasting your time here Griff…….
………the whingers on here would have already left the ground 10 minutes before the final whistle (“because it’s a nightmare that traffic is”)
