How can we think we will be able to compete for a top 6 finish is beyond me. It might happen once as a one off dream season, a la Fulham, but every season, no chance
I have never doubted Martinez, regarding the style of play he wants to bring to Wigan.
I do however doubt his backroom staff, he needs the proper coaches in place to get the best out of these players and the current mob i feel don’t have it
Get experienced guys in and it will transform the team.
I think that takeover was confirmed late last week hence why they now seem to be offering big money deals to the likes of Joe Ledley & Craig Bellamyand Jason Koumas if the rumours are to be beleived, though Koumas reckons he wants to fight for a place here. First thing first… McCarthy isn’t a striker, Moses hardly plays, Marcelo has done nothing and Hugo has’t scored for a while. So the strike force that is ‘as good as anybody’ .. involves a midfielder, somebody playing midfield, somebody hardly playing and somebody who hasn’t scored.
