Who are “most of us”?
Most of us moaning tossers? Most of us who have no mates? Most of us who spend our nights in our bedrooms typing on the computer with one hand and bashing away with the other?
I think this is a serious point and silly comments strengthen my argument.
I want to support my club, I want to get behind them, I want them to get better. But when I express this people are still moaning?
Banish the boos, support the Blue.
Anyone who starts a straw poll with should Martinez go should f off and support someone who can guarantee them success and a total football every week.
Adios
If I’m not mistaken, didn’t we finish the game playing 4-4-3?
That’s certainly one of the oddest things I’ve ever read!
Good point Edinburgh, but one of my points is that racism won’t vanish while fathers are venting their spleen in front of their kids.
As far as what is racism? In many cases it’s not so much the words as the way they are conveyed.
When this guy called Jordi a “spic”, he wasn’t saying it in a jolly way. It was an insult and in his own, uneducated, way he thought he was being clever.
Apart from that, if he is wearing a Wigan shirt he is a Wiganer. If he’s doing something that you don’t agree with, fair enough, but this guy was just being offensive to a Wigan Athletic player because he was a foreigner.
I can’t argue with someone who makes such an erudite argument in favour of the racist utterings of some of our fans.
I think a future as a BNP spokesman beckons.
You are being a little presumptious with your sweeping statement.
He might have “lost” some “fans”, but the majority of Wigan Athletic supporters have the patience and will give him time.
At times this season the football has been on a par with the best we have seen at Wigan, but there is, quite plainly, a long way to go.
If it takes one substitution to lose you and some of our other speccies then I’m not surprised our crowds are so low!!!
I can understand Bob not bringing on Moses. It wouldn’t have been a pleasant home debut with Stoke kicking bits out of him
It was a strange atmosphere at the end. After the booing a lot of folk were clapping the team off but others were shuffling past looking a bit sheepish.
I have always cheered the team off to show my appreciation of their efforts and I remember it being part and parcel of supporting the team in the lower divisions.
Is it just some of the JCLs and their unreasonably high expectations who insist on booing?
I hate to say this but I think whoever ends up with fewest points in the two games with Bolton will be a certainty to go down.
That’s why we have to get behind the team against the scum.
Good points, well made
STAY
Chelsea away 1980.
Loads of emotion, thought the game was gong to be called off, Tommy Gore just before half-time, watching the clock waiting for the whistle, final whistle goes and a few folk falls down the terraces.
I can’t remember many games or much else about the 80s.
Favourite recent game was when we beat Bolton in the first season in the Prem. Old hatred dies hard
That’ll be two of us!
