How the hell did he get MOTM? He can’t tackle and his sole contribution was to pass the ball back to Bramble and Scharner every chance he got. I thought Bob said he was a creative midfielder. I know it’s early days and we have to give him a chance but he don’t look anything special to me.
Get a grip, he’s f**kin class.
One of the best players, on the ball, we have ever seen in a Latics shirt. Never stopped running, never stopped looking for openings, the guy is quality. A very intelligent player.
Have a bit of patience, for f**ks sake![/quote]
Agree with that, he was all over the park looking for the ball
He’s a class act but I said last night that he would divide opinions between the fans
I think you’ll find booing doesn’t encourage anyone
Question for Jay T
Why does P*R*icking = friend :?:
I was relatively impressed with Scotland when he came on, and I think he could work well with Rodallega, as in my opinion, Hugo’s too light weight for the lone striker role. We definitely do need another lad up front though.Scotland played well – he looks more Mido than Heskey, always looks to take the ball down rather than flick it on but for a big lad he is able to turn on it and make things happen. There just didn’t seem to be an outlet last night and the likes of Gomez and Rodders just ended up going deeper and deeper to get the ball
Not sure whether it was bad luck or not but:
N’Zogbia clean through first half, fluffed it and was blocked
Cross across face of goal second half – just needed a touch
Scott Sinclair header wide
Scharner pricking about and juggling it into touch when he had clear sight of goalone or two of those four go in and it’s a very different game
although Wolves should have had a pen, very minor contact but he stuck his foot out way after the ball and those are always given these days – ref got it wrong there
