    From City official site:

Supporters registered on the FA Cup Scheme for the 2013/14 season are advised that block 116, and some of blocks 117 and 216 in the South Stand will be unavailable for this fixture, due to the extended visitor allocation. Please see ‘Seat Relocation’ information below.

Here we are again! Thank you for reminding us of the foolishness of some of our fans.

Everton and Roberto had a purple patch before Christmas when they could do no wrong. Now the pendulum has swung to the other side and everything is going against them.

The truth is that Everton do not have the resources to compete with clubs who can pay their players £200,000 and even £300,000 per week.

It looks unlikely that Wigan will be drawn against Everton in the next round of the cup.

Wigan Athletic at the Etihad; Tickets will go on sale to 2013/2014 home season ticket holders from 9am on Tuesday 25 February 2014 (one ticket per valid season ticket).

Lower Tier (reserved seating behind the goal)
    Adults £20.00
    Over 65 years £15.00 Young Adults (16-21 years) £15.00 Under 16 years £5.00
Ambulant/Disabled (include free carer if eligible) £15.00

For their cup tie at the Etihad, Chelsea received an allocation of 6149 tickets, in both the Upper and Lower Tiers.

    Upper Tier Adults – £27.50
    Lower Tier Adults – £25.00

Even then, City couldn’t quite sell all their own tickets.

Very odd. Wigan haven’t stated the size of our allocation. There’s no reason why Manchester City should offer us less than they offered Chelsea. Could Wigan have turned down the rest? That doesn’t seem likely.

With all their matches – Premier League/Champions League/League Cup/FA Cup – City have been finding it difficult to fill the ground. For the League Cup semifinal against West Ham, they didn’t even open all the stands (Attendance 30,381).

City usually reserve six blocks for away fans.
    Lower tier 113/114/115
    Upper Tier 213/214/215
These upper tier seats aren’t allocated to season ticket holders.

Perhaps there will be an announcement to confirm how many tickets we have been allocated.

We are one of half a dozen teams competing for sixth place.

It’s going to be very tense from now until the end of the season. Whether it will be as tense as our relegation battles, I don’t know.

And, once more, there is the FA Cup. I am looking forward to the trip to the Etihad though, realistically, we shouldn’t expect to go beyond the next round.

I see that Sir Alex now has the great pleasure of sitting next to Mick Hucknall at matches.

Perhaps Mick might pop in one day.

Leicester have gone 12 Championship games without defeat. The last team to beat them was Brighton!

Derby have scored more goals, but Leicester have the best goal difference.

It is more complicated for Manchester City to rearrange matches. They can’t play a league match on a day when there is a Champions League match. So dates are ruled out when Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are playing on the Champions League. And in this round, matches are spread over four midweeks.

But Wigan do have to play more games.

Wigan at the Etihad on Sunday at 4:00pm.

    Plus 4,000 fans.

NB If you’re travelling independently, don’t queue for a Metrolink tram underneath Piccadilly station. You could wait there for hours.

It’s only a twenty minute walk to the ground, or you could walk back to the tramstop in, say, Piccadilly Gardens.

City have to travel to Barcelona for a game on the Wednesday. If players are going to play in both games, it would obviously be better for them to play on Saturday rather than at Sunday teatime.

However, City have a big enough squad to play a different eleven in each game. City reserves should be good enough to outclass Wigan, as they did earlier this season. But in the FA Cup, you never know.

On the other hand, City may decide to write off the Barcelona game and concentrate on the treble. City will want to avoid humiliation in Barcelona but, even so, Wigan could then face a stronger team.

There must be some insurance policies too.

But who they would benefit, I don’t know.

He may well be saving McEachran. And Powell should be ready to play again soon.

We have a big squad and a heavy fixture list. So Rosler is only too willing to rotate the team.

    Good question.

I think Wigan could let let the contact expire, but keep paying his wages until he has recovered.

When he has recovered, they could offer him a new contract or formally release him.

Arsenal v Everton – Both clubs are guaranteed £247,500 from the FA in live broadcast fees while the winner gets £360,000 from the FA Cup prize fund.

So we should do well too.
