Jason Taylor speaking on BBC North West from outside DW Stadium.
Rosler will watch Saturday’s match at Millwall from the stands, before officially starting work on Sunday.
Thanks – I understand what you’re saying.
Aston Villa wanted Martinez twelve months earlier. But he chose to extend his contract with Wigan for another year, and took us to Wembley.
If Martinez saw his contract out, then how can people call him Judas?
The home defeat by Swansea followed an extraordinary win at West Brom.
If there was a conspiracy, it would have been simpler to lose at West Brom.
Meanwhile, back in the real world…
Then why were the transfers of Fellaini and McCarthy so drawn out?
And why did the discussions over Baines drag on so long?
But posters here are calling Martinez Judas because he did not renew his contract.
Dave Whelan said, “I didn’t sack Owen. I had a meeting with him after the game and I told (him) I was disappointed in the performance of the team and in his team selection.
“Owen said did I want him to resign and I said ‘yes, if you’ll resign we will obviously have to pay compensation’ but I accepted his word and he has resigned.”
But Coyle didn’t sign a 12 month contract. He signed a 12 month rolling contract, as did Martinez before him.
Yes. The only thing it can’t explain is why people post such stupid questions.
Do you think I’m a Bobsessive? The teams are published in the paper.
Besides, my wife bumps into David Moyes on Tuesday nights. At least, she did until this season – he has more mid-week engagements now.
I have certainly been suffering from football deficiency this season. Haven’t we all? I could do with a top-up – and Everton seems to have a good supply.
I’m eagerly awaiting the FA Cup draw. Do you think we’ll have another good run?
Baines is a left back – Stones is a right back.
Besides, Everton already had a replacement for Baines. Oviedo came on for Baines and scored against Liverpool. He played against Manchester United and scored the winner.
If, as some think, Coyle was also lined up to take over at Wigan, then he had plenty of time to look for replacements and plan a formation for them to play in.
Enough – there’s a game on Saturday.
Don’t worry Salford. His only purpose is to wind people up.
Just imagine how much he and the other Bobsessives are suffering this season.
And that’s on top of what we’ve all suffered with Coyle.
I’d rather have a young manager on the way up than an old one on the way down.
Holloway has shown that he can succeed in the Championship but hasn’t really had much chance to develop his teams in the Premier League.
His teams have been attack-minded, but there may well be more than that to him.
Phelan has been successful at the higher level, though we don’t know exactly what responsibility he took. He also worked with much greater resources. On balance, I think that I’ll go for him.
I predict;
Nichols/Carson
Boyce Ramis Barnett Crainey
McArthur McCann
McManaman Powell Gomez
Holt
Martínez has made a good start; Kenwright, like Whelan, appears to have made a sound choice. The new Everton manager has passed all the tests his replacement at Wigan failed. Everton are optimistic again. Where the journey ends up is anyone’s guess, but it won’t be the Championship and it won’t be dull.
