Ben Watson for me as well, absolutely superb today….good performances by all the team, special mentions to for Gohouri and Diame and of course Moses when he came on

Not sure about the worst penalty ever, but it was a bad ‘un. One of the worst I’ve ever seen was Pat Nevin for Chelsea v City, it barely reached the keeper and I’m sure everyone who was there remembers the game at Spotland where their *striker hit the roof of the stand with his pen and then put the retaken kick in exactly the same place.

        *Steve Whitehall I think

Not sure about their prices for the games against the “less fashionable” sides, but for the likes of Chelsea, City, Liverpool etc, Fulham have been charging the away fans (and presumably their own) in the region of £45 – £50 a time.

Admittedly, they’ve probably got a higher wage bill, but if you can attract 22K+ paying £50, you’re obviously earning more money than us, where we have to resort to “rewarding” the couch potatoes in our town by giving them tickets at £4 a time and our normal prices are less than half those of Fulham.

You’d have thought the Utd fans would have stayed wouldn’t you, after all 90% of em probably lived within 20 miles of Wembley.

As for us, I’m sure Bobby Campbell deliberately missed his pen against Wednesday so we didnt have to pay for another night in a London hotel

In fairness to Scharner, I’ll say it again, I saw him leave the ground before 10 pm, but this was after the end of the game…..whatever he did or didn’t do, he did not leave the ground before the match finished (unless he left and then thought better of it)

Carterlatics….do you really expect a small town club like ours to be able to keep players when the likes of Arsenal come along? The only problem I have with us selling players is that we dont always get decent money and the manager doesnt always get a huge amount to spend (though thats understandable to an extent considering the debt).

As for £22m for those 2, if there’s a grain of truth in that, we should snatch their hands off.

Scharner followed up an uninterested, inept performance at Fulham with another one last night. He was absolutely dreadful last night and showed no desire to work for the team at all. He should have been left out of the side after last week and I’ll be astonished if he’s in the 11 for Sunday.

Incidentally, I wonder if he spat the dummy out after the game, as I saw him leave the ground before 10 pm last night.

Defender: De Zeeuw, just gets in ahead of Methven

Midfielder: Kelly, without question the most creative midfielder I’ve ever seen in a Latics shirt, should have been as good as Gascoigne

Striker: Campbell or Ellington (if you could get him to play, he’d be fantastic)

Apart from Brighton and Hereford, I knew we’d lost to Darlington, Doncaster and Scarborough that season and was convinced that the bottom 4 teams came from those 5…..obviously completely wrong!

Remember that game, we were already up, they’d gone down and on the coach going down, everybody to a man knew we would lose and it didnt matter.

Unusual season in that we won the league and yet managed to lose to the bottom 4, don;t think that will have happened too many times

Thats unlucky that mate, yet another Saturday game moved….we’ve only played 8 at home all season, ridiculous

As Chelsea will either be Champions and be presented with the trophy, or be in with a chance of winning it, then of course our game will be live.

As for relegation, so long as we beat Pompey on Weds, then we go above WHU, Wolves and Bolton (presuming they lose at Chelsea).

Not sure about Wolves and Bolton’s remaining fixtures, but we’d be above those 2 plus the media darlings who like us will have 1 game left (us at home) that they will target as winnable, so 3 points IMO will see us just about safe.

On that performance yes, but they haven’t been playing like that all season. That said, thats a great result for them, thought Spurs would smash them about 5-0 to be honest

In fairness its been done with the aid of 188Bet and you can’t blame them for trying to get people interested in their services. OK, booking is not as simple as ringing the club or going down and booking, but its not exactly too difficult is it?
