£27 to see my team play in a quarter final in a local derby against a club as big as Everton seems reasonable in my opinion.
Yes, the ground is horrible and yes, the tickets are dearer than at Macclesfield and Huddersfield but 90 mins away from Wembley @ £27 for season ticket holders is hardly a rip off.
wait till you see were your sat for £27 you might have a change of opinion.and what about those who aint a season ticket holder ? as long as there’s folk like you willing to pay anything to watch football then we’ll always get screwed.
I have been to Everton away every season since we reached the PL so I know exactly what the view is like.
I wouldn’t even think twice about paying £30 (ish) for a ticket to see my team in the quarter final of the FA Cup. Too many tight tw@ts watch our club.
… that Brian McDermott at Reading isn’t bitter is he??Having a flick through Sky text on my telly this morning whilst eating my rice krispies, I spotted this quote from the fella:
“Wigan were at their best and are a decent side when the opposition are down to 10 men” :blink:Weren’t we already 3-0 up at that stage??? :P
I’ll judge a player on what i see them do on the pitch and at the moment Bo doesn’t cut it for me. He cannot take a man on and beat him for pace. Most of his crosses come from one two’s or when he is found is acres of space. Some of the crosses he puts in are great no doubt, one against Southampton sticks in my mind where Di Santo got on the end of it and brought a save from their keeper. It just doesn’t seem to happen often enough.
Bo has no competition for his place and until such a time that he does he will be first choice and top the stats for us. Maybe now that we virtually have a fully fit squad he may be able to concentrate more on his attacking prowess and change a few peoples mindset?
You state Jean doesn’t take a man on and beat him for pace? If he isn’t blessed with pace then surely playing one-two’s and creating acres of space for himself is a skill itself?
Also, when have you ever seen Beckham (one of the slowest wide players ever) take a man on and beat him for pace? Has that halted his career at all?
This thread is about Figueroa though who, in my opinion played a blinder at Reading BUT spends too much time out of position defensively. He’s also a liability in the tackle and constantly gives away silly free kicks. He’s also got to be top of our list for conceding penalties.

Yes Kone will start and yes, I would imagine Di Santo will too.
Before the African Nations started we had a front 3 of Franco, Kone and Maloney. I would expect that to remain the same now Kone’s back.
Yes.
He seemed to offer a huge outlet yesterday. Espinoza and McArthur looked straight out wide for the run of McManaman. He was an absolute nightmare for their defence.
If he starts with Kone and Maloney then yes, McManaman should play wide. Di Santo has been woeful lately and Gomez shouldn’t be anywhere near the starting 11.
In the f**king que……………… I mean queue
I personally believe it would be a dream to see my club play at Wembley whether it be a semi final or a final.
The experience of the Carling Cup final along with vague memories of our trips to Wembley against Millwall and Gillingham are some of the best you can witness as a fan/supporter.
I would imagine almost everyone will want to go to Wembley for the semi if we get there.
Although I agree with you in some ways there’s also an argument for both sides.
Southampton at home is classed by some as a must win because if we had lost the game they’d have been 6 points ahead of us with a better goal difference. In the end, a point is an okay result as we’ve taken 4 off them this season and we’re still just 3 points behind them. I would have classed the game as a must NOT lose rather than a must win.
In terms of losing the games against the teams around us your always looking up when we need to be looking down. For example, if we had lost to Southampton it would have meant we’d need to win 3 more games than them to finish above them so to speak.
feck it, might go lolI’m going! Once in a lifetime and all that.
heard southamton played really well v man u in week, need a good start sat massive game. same committment as second half midweek should be okSame standard as the 2nd half at Stoke should be more than enough. Maloney, McArthur and Espinoza just controlled everything and we were desperately unlucky not to win. We need our keeper back to his best which we’ve not seen for a while and cut out the defensive errors.
joins everton now having medicalI think Stevie Wonder could see that coming. Leave things till the last minute and suffer the consequences!

Samba to qpr.
Wrong. Hope they go bust. Not only that, but apparently he’s on £100,000 per week.
Mental.
100k a week. Clint Hill will be demanding a wage increase. Can only be on 10k a week that fella. All he’s worth in fairness but that wage structure is laughable!
You’re not telling me you think clubs say I like the look of him, offer his club 5 million, they accept, you contact the player and he says no thank you?
That is exactly what I am telling you :silly:
Thank god you’re not in charge of our transfers! :woohoo:
Same goes fo you fella, we would have a transfer ban after our first enquiry!
I love your view on transfers but your argument isn’t valid as in terms of transfer policies a club is allowed to a) make an enquiry about a player and b) speak to the player with permission from his parent club. Facts. No bans would follow BUT if truth be told, I’d have a permanent touchline ban and more than likely behind bars for assault with some of (lack of) decisions we get so I’ll give you that one.
And then there’s the small problem of his reported £70,000 a week.If we all know he’s on 70k a week I’m sure Martinez did before placing the bid.
