Well he’s scored 11 for them this season so i’d say it is.

Shola Ameobi hat-trick coming right up then……………

Sounds like we’ve gone through the mill to sign him.

Watch him turn out to be the Spanish Andy Webster.

The lad should have stayed put and not been swayed by agents chasing the big bucks.

Saw a Latics fan on Twitter having a convo with Ellington the other day, might have been someone who comes on this board, i cant remember.

Ellington said he loved his time here and would love to come back one day but he felt he had to leave on a “matter of principle” but didnt expand on that.

Unfortunately it seems the reason he took his own life is because his team-mate, Paul Terry (John’s brother) was having it away with his girlfriend.

Yeah it does. I think it’s a record win for a non-league club over a league club full stop, not just record away win.

I thought i’d read JayT saying he’d put the questions to whoever it was at the club. It musnt have been you he was having a conversation with then.

Hopefully your middle-man can get back to you with an answer then you can let us all know.

Surely you could have just PM’d the question to JayT rather than hoping he just happens to read that.

    Leicester played Nottingham Forest tonight.

No sign of Kirkland in the squad. His back is playing up apparently

Reckon he’s got the Stoke and Everton games to do something.

Arsenal is a home banker anyway so the result of that doesnt matter.

Someone we can beat would be a start

and what if someone just wants to watch a wigan and man u game as a neutral, answer cant get a ticket.

Very true that. A couple of people who had season tickets in front of me in the East Stand dont seem to have renewed this season, or have moved.

So far this season i’ve had Colombians, Poles (probably live in Scholes to be fair) and what looked and sounded like Iranians sat in front of me in those seats. They were all for the lesser games but what if a genuine tourist wants to come and see us at home to Man Utd/Liverpool/Everton …… ?

That Under 18’s Tournament we hosted had England, France, Brazil and Italy didnt it ?

Who was in the Brazilian squad. Anyone that’s ever “made it” ?

in reply to: Chubbie so chuffed #51209

They;re moaning that its going to cost them £40 for tickets for their World Club Cup thing.

They should try paying Premiership prices for away games.

I’d pay pretty much any price to see Latics in the FA Cup final, ner mind the Champions League final – the equivilent surely ? . I really dont get their moans.

in reply to: The reason why our crowds are what they are.. #50955

    Pretty much.

I dont have a real issue with those Wiganers who actually go supporting their team. I know Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and even Bolton fans who are born and bred Wiganers but have season tickets at those clubs.

The ones that get on my tits are those pub/armchair watching ones who come out with the same line if you tell them who you support, “Latics are shit, why do you bother?”

I bother because they are MY team, from MY town. If they are “shit” then so be it. At least they are MY “shit” team.
